It's better to be GREAT in ONE aspect, then just pretty decent in a couple.

I'll tell you why it's better. Do you see 3,000 year old Greek vases with UFC stuff on them??? Hell no, you see the noble art of boxing, like so;

BTW: Sorry for the schlongs (trying to make a point) and that vase definitely looks like Pavlik laying it on Taylor (ouch!!) :-P

I don't think you can really compare the two in terms of which one is better. MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world, and many people have switched or are switching because its something new and interesting, especially now that the UFC aquired Pride FC, the level of competitors have just been pushed up and will lead to more exciting fights.

You can't deny the UFC is here, more PPV sales last year than all boxing events combined, and beat out wrestling ppv's as well

The UFC is boxing too, its a combination of many different styles, you can rarely have just one style in mma and be succesful. MMA fighters definetly work on boxing, they have to.

I'm just hoping that the heavyweight division gets better because it has been a mess ever since Lennox Lewis retired. This is also hurting boxing greately, but hey Hatton vs Mayweather, dream fight, Mosley vs Cotto, going to be great, looking forward to it
