What impressive wins? Howard Eastman and Allen Green? What separates Miranda from N'dou? Tell me please.

Eastman is a tough journeyman fighter with a good punch. Cotto faced that early on in Randall Bailey. Green was a tough undefeated prospect. Pinto, Maussa, Malignaggi, and Torres fit that mold. And the last three went on to win title straps. Its really not even close.

3 controversies but I think thats ok against the 2 HOF's. I personally agreed with every decision. Im not saying Taylor is great at all. He gets by with his combination of speed & power that is probally 2nd to none in the sport but other then that he doesnt know how to fight at all. His IQ, coordination, and overall boxing know how is at the bottom of all the top guys but he still is tough to beat because of his combination of size, speed, and power.

You cant rip him for his wins over the 154 pounders when they both are good guys and Taylor is not as big as everyone makes him out to be. He usually only comes in at like 166. To me thats nothing compared to Cotto at 140 coming in at 155

It depends on the fashion that Mayweather or Cotto win in...if they win at all.

I'm also waiting for the Mosley fight. With only that win against Urkal to add to the victory over Judah, one does not have much to argue in favor of Cotto at this point, given that Pavlik has just dethroned an undisputed, undefeated champion, on top of having devastated Miranda. A convincing win over the HOF-type Mosley should give Cotto's claim to FOY some good boost.

Cotto won over Urkal in what is officially listed as a TKO victory, but it happened when the latter's trainer threw in the towel in protest over the referees having deducted another point against his ward (Urkal was also deducted a point in an earlier round) for flagrant fouls. Cotto was leading by a mile on the cards nonetheless.

On the other hand, Pavlik just plowed past the power of Miranda to stop the latter in the 7th.

I'd give Cotto the nod since Oscar was 34, and Hatton is smaller. Cotto won't beat Mosley though IMO. If that stands then either Floyd or Pavlik should win Fighter of the Year.

Come on now, Green had proved alot more then N'Dou. N'Dou hasnt done anything except given a couple of guys problems. He has no big wins. Green was more then a undefeated prospect. Those 3 guys you compared him to are a joke. No one even knew who Torres was when he fought Cotto, Maussa was basically a journeyman, and this whole board called Paulie a big mouth who was a club fighter that fought tomato cans. Cotto fought Paulie & Torres in there 1st big fights when he was already established. Pinto? Please. Also, in pretty much all of those fights you could come away thinking that Cotto only won becaue he was just flat out too big. It was a mismatch while the Mirand-Green fight was even size and the Green-Pavlik fight was even size.

Cotto has fought alot of guys where he was just flat out bigger. Guys who gave him problems but just couldnt matchup with his size. Even at 147 you could argue that he hasnt fought a real WW yet. I want to see him in with someone his own size. Thats why I wanted to see the Margarito fight. I want to see him with Margarito, Cintron, Clottey, Williams or someone like that. Even Collazo. Shane will be a good test but even he is on the smaller side but could move up because of his crazy talent. I will give him credit for that win though.

Did I miss something here? Last time I checked Allan Green beat 20 guys ESPN found on the street. You talk about over hyping guys and you are doing the same thing to try and prove a point.

Maussa was a journeyman who stepped up and knocked out a legit title holder. Torres knocked out a good fighter in Kendall Holt. These are facts...
