    Anyone Surprised By Taylor's Start?

Im not talking about the 2nd round Knock Down but just the whole start. Taylor basically came out like a amatuer. He was all hyper and wasting a ton of energy while Pavlik was calm and measured the whole time. It was like Pavlik was the guy who had been in all the big fights and Taylor was the inexperinced rookie. What makes it even more shocking is that he has Steward in his corner. How many times have we all watched a fight when Manny is the announcer and he's talking about how he's shocked that a vet would come out that hyper? Its so amazing to me that this was there biggest fight together and you would sure that would be on the top of there game but it seemed as though they couldnt even get the most basic things to work. Steward didnt even seem like he tried to calm Taylor down. It looked as though the only reason Taylor calmed down was because he got tired.

Trust me when I say that I dont mean this in a excuse type way. Pavlik walked him down and punished. Pretty much no one wants to fight guys like Pavlik who put pressure on you the whole fight. Thats why guys like him, Tszyu, Margarito, Castillo, and so on are so hard to beat. No one likes to fight guys who keep coming no matter what. Even when you do something good to them they still just keep walking you down. They basically make you fight for 36 minutes and wont let you take any time off. Its hard to beat guys like that.

I disagree with people taking up for Manny though. I still say that Steward is the most overrated trainer in history. I actually think alot of these guys are overrated including McGirt & Roach. Manny doesnt hardly ever make anyone better. People brag on him but the only guy he has ever really takend from scratch is Hearns but he was a straight freak anyways. Mostly everyone else Manny has trained, he has gotten them when they were already Champs. To me, he pretty much makes every fighter boring and it sucks. His strategy is the same for all his fighters and trainers are starting to pick him apart. You could say that Taylor doesnt listen to him all the way but isnt that part of his fault also? Taylor looked much better with the white guy training him. I think its ****** anyways when a guy takes you to the top and you change him before you even lose. If you really watch these fights, you will see that these no name trainers are just as good as the over hyped big name guys and they consistently beat them now.

No he was trying to trick Pavlik early and it worked. He was trying to lull him into confidence backing up with the intention of launching some vicious counters, It worked the first time and then Kelly was wise to it. His cut man told him wisely when he goes onto the ropes in that manner jab first.

I thought Taylor looked great and Manny did a great job. Pavlik was just the better man in a clash of two amazing middle weights in their prime.

I've been posting on this site for more than a yeat I believe saying that getting rid of Pat Burns was Jermain's biggest mistake. He lost his confidence, Pat Burns was giving him so much confidence.

He threw less punches than Pavlik, he shouldnt have been more tired, he wasnt, and it had nothing to do with why he lost.

Taylor has always fought like an amateur. Its nothing new. He even displayed something Bernard Hopkins touched on in the lead up to their re-match. He grabs on after he throws combinations.

He did this in round 2, and as a result couldn't finish Pavlik off.

Nah man, Taylor looked the same as he has looked in his last few fights. He was the same exact guy. The only reason why he looked slightly better was because Pavlik wasnt tricky like those other guys he fought. He was fighting mostly all slick southpaws with great defense. Pavlik is a righty who just comes straight at you so it gave Taylor alot more chances to land his clean punches but other then that you could still see that he was the same guy. I bet anything that if he wouldve fought Ouma or Spinks then he wouldve had the same fights that he 1st had with them. He hasnt improved since his other trainer left
