Berto was good last night, but why is HBO calling him THE top prospect in the sport? He's not that at all. He's going to be tough to beat, but he's not an obvious future star in the class of a Mayweather, maybe not even Cotto.

Sometimes I feel like the HBO producers decide how good a guy is supposed to be, then do all they can to make themselves right.

Quintana needs to fight on TV before they fight on HBO. Put them in a double header and it will hype up the fight very well. Then it will be a pretty big fight when they go at it. Besides, the deal Quintana got was a THREE FIGHT DEAL, and BERTO BEING THIRD. This means Quintana needs to fight ONE MORE TIME. So why not do it right?

            Patience my friends.

That's how you promote, and how you make money off of a fighter budd.

When he was beating down Estrada, I though of Quintana as a possible next bout. Berto really impressed me last night, a lot more accomplished than his last outing. I also thought about Berto vs Judah but I think zab has taken too much punishment over the last year or so without letting Berto loose on him.

They should have Quintana fight some other bum like in November and then have the fight with Berto on BAD sometime in Febuary. Berto's on the rise he needs to keep stepping it up in competition every fight from now on.

Is he the best prospect in the sport? Who knows, but he's definitely one of the best. Last night he used his footwork good, committed to the jab, great combinations, and used that great uppercut of his. Plus he's an exciting fighter and likes to mix it up. HBO is probably hyping him up because there always looking for that star to show on their network.

I thought he got hit too much and didn't look as fast as he had done in previous fights. I think Quintana can certainly beat him.
