It does make sense for this two to fight each other next and as mentioned in another thread it would be great if they had it as a BAD show early next year. Berto looked great tonight and if he fights that way again against Quintana I see him doing the same with a late round KO.

In this fight I was happy to see him committed to the jab and use that great uppercut of his. That one he landed at the end of the fight that set up that straight right was vicious. It was really the shot that ended the fight.

Like who? If your a star the best place to fight is on HBO. Do you want them to sell him for a fight on like ABC.

They made a deal a long time ago.

It was a 3 fight deal thing for Quintana. 2 easy fights and then Berto.

Quintana will likely fight one more time, as will Berto probably. THEN they will fight each other.

It will be an interesting fight. I think pressure fighters will beat Berto, ones who can apply CONSTANT pressure and not run out of gas. For example, due to styles, I think Miguel Cotto would destory Berto. Berto doesnt deal with pressure well but Estrada could do enough of it he didnt have the stamina, and hes sloppy. Quintana is a slick boxer, not a pressure fighter. I still think Quintana would beat Berto but without a doubt thats an interesting fight.

What HBO should do is put these guys in a double header on Boxing After Dark. Berto in the main event and Quintana the co feature. Then if they both win they fight each other on HBO.
