you basically say miranda isnt top level, but then go and say pavlik may have won that fight because Middleweight isnt for miranda. so pavlik isnt a top contender too?? then who is? kasim ouma? cory spinks?
Gibbs was garbage, HBO was (and still is) in love with Mierda and were more than happy to give him that showcase, knowing it would lead to a spectacular knockout (though something I refer to as an optical illusion).

Miranda isn't top level, but it takes top level middleweights to beat him. Abraham beat him (at worst, it was a draw without the deductions), Pavlik beat him. If Miranda dominated Green, then Green exposed Miranda's chin. Let's not get it twisted - Miranda won because Green showed up terrified. (though of course, he cites medical conditions for his lack of effort).

Anyway, more germane to the point. The article wasn't about Abraham-Miranda. For you to trash the piece as a whole based on that one line is pathetic.

He's not a bum, he is just an exciting fighter who is made exciting by a raft of flaws. Mayorga with a more pleasing style and personality.

His best bet would to see if he can stay at MW and chase a fight with Duddy.

Ouma and Spinks, for me, have better wins at a better level.

He didn't say he was a bum. Just not really champ material. I agree with him to an extent, against Abraham, how can you break someone's jaw then you can't even knock him out? Miranda is supposed to be very hard hitting. He also got dominated by Pavlik, so I really can't see him hanging on to the elite fighters of the sport.

Well you don't have to KO someone to win, in his case, he HAD to KO him to win, with all those dumb fouls he did, he should have known he had to KO him. He didn't KO him, and look what happened. Also, we'll see what happens in Taylor-Pavlik. I personally think that you say Pavlik is gonna destroy Taylor cause he beat Miranda. If pavlik lost to miranda and he would still fight Taylor, I doubt you would be saying the same thing.

Thanks for any replies guys. It moved onto Miranda but any mention of that man often brings the discussion around to him. I understand the passion of his fans, the guy is fun with a good story but that is it for me.

I like Taylor in the fight. I don't like picking rounds but 4-5 sounds right today.

Then up to SW and the winner of Kessler-Calzaghe (I prefer Kessler to watch but Joe will win in my opinion).

                  Miranda-Duddy

                  Taylor-Joe

Pavlik-Kesser sound good for 2008 to me!

Within their respective divisions, you'd better believe it. Both are/were proven to be champions. Is this a trick question or something?
