Listen... that's not what he means because what you described is what would happen at any gym in the world. He is saying KRONK in particular because of its long history. Saying a lot of guys don't make it through Kronk... saying that now in 2007 is kind of odd. It's not the gym it is the people IN the gym and the Kronkof today is like the Steelers of today compared to 1978

Listen.... if you even attempt to compare the Kronk from the early 1980's to today then you obviously have no real knowledge of the situation. And my only point here is that it is very unusual for a guy like Jermain to say that a lot of people dont make it through Kronk in this day and age because if someone doesnt make it then there are obviously not world class professionals. If there was a time when even a good pro might have trouble making it through that gym it was 20 years ago, not now

I think even if he said that 20 years ago it still wouldn't have made sense. My question is, WHO hasn't made it through Kronk?

As dumb as it is, whatever Taylor has to tell himself is fine with me. He trained in the Poconos anyway. His main sparring partners were Andy Lee (who's a southpaw) and maybe Jonathan Banks?

If I recall correctly weren't they saying these same things about Jermain training at home in Arkansas?

Oh he gets to sleep in his own bed, he gets more rest, all of his friends keep all the bad influences away from him, he can focus better, blah blah blah?

Now he is like, oh I survived the Kronk, and trained in the Poconos.

Hate the break it to you Jermain, but I think Kelly Pavlik is gonna be tougher than the Kronk.
