They don't. Mundine suffers from low intelligence.

Legally blind doesn't mean blind. In the US it means that you can't read the giant E on the eye charts, worse than 20/200 vision, but the eye can still work. My left eye is legally blind, but of the reasons why I'd fail as a boxer, that isn't one of them. It is horribly weak vision strength, but it works well enough to sense movement and give a vague idea of whats going on over there. If I close my right eye I can still get around well enough, I just basically can't read anything and I lose a lot of the details in say watching television, but I can still SEE it... Any of you guys understand what I mean? I'd be able to see punches coming from that side.

Its a sad day for all boxing fans. Say what you must. This guy had only had 4 amateur fights. He was starting to hit his peak, and against Soliman and Green even though they may not be rated as world class fighters by you, the least you could say was Mundine was impressive. Kostya Tzyu and Paul Briggs both openly said he should be in America fighting Taylor or Winky, both of these fighters said Mundine would win this. Whether thats true or not, Mundine was rated highly by a lot of fighters and fight fans. He didn't fulfill his potential one hyota.

I've always liked Mundine despite what his detractors say and despite what mis steps he's taken himself. He was always a talented fightern despite some weird tunr around losses like Otke. I wish him the best and hope he is healing well but I think you just heard the toll on his career ring.

As you can see the boxing world is shattered by this news. TV networks & promoters are up in arms and the future of the sport is uncertain. The Boxing world is currently living in hope that Mundine will make a full recovery.

ALI not being allowed to box during his prime due to the war or the passing of Corales before his time was a sad day for boxing.

Please, lets put this into prospective, Mundine will never travel to the states & attempt a legacy.

If this had of happened during Barrera, Morales, Tito, Pac, Jones, Mayweather, Oscar's primes I could understood the tears, but for a guy who prays on journeymen & blow up middle weights, I think we'll all get over it.

                    Shame though.
