Well here are the obvious reasons:

1.) He has 1 punch KO Power, and can knock guys out COLD.

2.) He was the first one to make James Toney look like a bum as a heavyweight, and Toney hasn't been the same since. Toney had not lost in almost ten years - Peter not only beat him but embarassed him.

3.) He gave Wlad an extremely difficult time.

4.) He's still young and is improving each fight.

5.) Many feel he beats anyone in the division minus Wlad, but if he keeps improving, he takes Wlad in the rematch.

6.) His style is vulnerable, but he is exciting and takes chances. He also has an excellent chin.

James Toney beat him in the first fight and was robbed. James Toney is not a natural heavyweight, if James Toney was in the ring with wlad, lennox, or vitali. He could probably be killed if not seriously hurt. A journeyman made a mockery out of James Toney in his Toney's last fight.

He was fine before Peter - one of only two fighters to ever knock out Holyfield. He also beat Ruiz and drew with Rahman. He proved that he was a big player until Peter embarrassed him. Toney is shot. Go watch those Peter fights - anyone would be shot after taking those extremely powerful blows to the head. Toney hadn't been knocked down in 14 years before that fight.

Sure, I also feel Toney won the first fight - but Peter came in out of shape and learned from his mistakes, coming back 100% better.

Peter been in line for quite some time, they even tried to play him by putting Vitali in his place and have Peter fight the winner at one point and THAT'S ****ed up for real..

do you know klitschko has that wbc emeritus status? let me clue you in: it means that vitali can come back whenever the **** he wants and immediately fight for the title. get it? it is simple. in this way, vk got screwed because he should be fighting for the title. hope he gets healthy soon. by the sound of it, vitali has been kicking ass in the gym.

you saw the fight, right? also, you saw more than one peter fight? sam peter usually clubs his opponents in the back of the head half a dozen times. how do you think any fighter would react when he gets clubbed in the back of the neck by a heavy hitter like peter? not very well.

samuel, outside of those rounds in which he landed knockout intended rabbit punches, lost every round. that is why he is overrated. peter has been warned a countless number of times, but there seems to be something that quiets the ref from taking points. not sure what it is, but if i were a ref and saw more than two accidental rabbit punches, especially to the head/neck area, i am taking points and giving a disqualification warning.
