The WBC has stripped WBC interim welterweight champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley for not putting his interim belt on the line when he faces WBA welterweight Miguel Cotto on November 10 in New York City. Mosley had claimed the temporary title in February against Luis Collazo. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is now the only welterweight champion recognized by the WBC.

This is a blow to the fatal fourway bout. The winner would HAVE to face Floyd, now that isn't the case.
