If Pavlik wins. Fighter of the Year?

If he were to win Saturday do you think he'll be the FOTY. I can't think of many fighters this year who have achieved as much as him assuming he wins Sat which isn't a done deal. His knock out over Zertuche will be a candidate for knockout of the year(probably won't win but still a good ko) And his Fight with Miranda will be a candidate for Fight of the Year and if he wins the Middleweight Crown Saturday I think he's a lock for the award. If JT wins Saturday the only other person I could see win the award would be Miguel Cotto. Cotto has had a good year Urkal-KO11, Judah-KO11 and assuming he beats Mosley. I think he'll be FOTY. Those 2 are my frontrunners for the award. What do you think?

It'll be Hatton or Mayweather I think... December 8th is for the 147 pound Ring belt, the 147 pound WBC belt, and fighter of the year in my estimation.

Because fighter of the year is a separate award from knockout of the year.

I thought the titles of those awards explained that pretty clearly.

lol yeah too bad foty has nothing to do with knockouts. If mayweather wins hands down he gets it. He went up in weight and won the biggest fight in recent history picked up another belt and would have beaten someone that suppossably he is scared of and gives him his toughest fight of his career. Of course when mayweather out boxes him and schools him in the ring they will downplay it.

I would say Pavlik could be. Because he had the most relevance to his divisions unlike Mayweather, who's last fight that was actually relevant to the devision was against Baldy.

Pavlik, if he beats Taylor, on the other hand has beat the most fearsome contender in Miranda and the undisputed MW champion in Taylor.

If he can KNOCK OUT the undisputed middleweight champion of the world in impressive fashion....the guy who took the belts from a previous champ with 21 straight title defenses, then yes, he definitely deserves fighter of the years honors, especially after having put a guy no one wanted to face (Miranda) through a meat-grinder.

He gets it more than Hatton would if he beats Mayweather?
