For a few days I thought DLH could have won easily if he would have stuck with his plan, but I realized I'm not the one in the ring so I'll just leave it that DLH did his best for what he could do.
    I appreciate your honesty.

but im 98% sure floyd wins...so yeah, boring
You think Hatton is going to do more dumb stalking than Corrales did?

      #1 that's not possible.

#2 Hatton has never been a stalker. He's a pressure fighter.

Ricky doesn't plod forward and wait for an opening. He creates openings with leads and then follows them up with combinations once he's in their chest. Hatton's objective is to create with his leads, but the leads are an afterthought. What he really wants is to get inside.

Diego Corrales was a head hunter who waited for openings when he fought Floyd. When he thought he saw an opening he would fully commit to his punches. Diego was trying to take Floyd's head off; he wasn't trying to set anything up. No comparison IMO.

Personally, I think this fight is going to be a BARN BURNER.
I haven't heard the Duran/Leonard analogy before. It's not bad. Surely we can all hope. The problem is that Leonard's fights were exciting, Floyd's for the most part, aren't. So half the equation is missing here. Hatton is going to have to do the work of two men to make this exciting.

Oscar didn't have the aggressiveness and stamina to get the job done, but aggressiveness and stamina are exactly the two characteristics that Ricky Hatton is famous for. So, IMO the fight will be very exciting and barring a Hatton stoppage for cuts, Floyd is in for a long, hard, night.

        Pick: Hatton.

dude, it wasn't an exciting fight if DLH did not force the issue... and i don't see it any different with the Hatton-PBF fight... Hatton's going to put the pressure on floyd all night... i believe PBF will be victorious in this bout but we're talking if it will be exciting... another fight that we can compare RH-PBF to would be Pac-JMM... it was exciting to see JMM knocked down 3 times, and it was also exciting to see how marquez counter punched his way to a draw... see my point? as long as 1 fighter would remain aggresive for the whole fight, it won't be boring...

Yeah, Hopkins has been making that analogy throughout the promotion.

It's a pretty good one IMO.. Close enough..

exactly my point... mayweather alone isn't going to be exciting (well, except if its going to be a real beatdown)...

You know it might be, especially if Hatton comes out kinda scared and the enviroment gets to him. He might come out and try to box with Floyd.

Floyd knows that Hatton doesn't have the power Oscar does, so he will be less likely to put so much priority on defense in this fight. I think Mayweather will be more exciting than the skeptics think for sure.

It won't be boring for the same reason the first Durán/Leonard fight wasn't boring. Like Durán, Hatton will press the action and force Mayweather to fight for dear life as did Leonard.

Hatton will not grant Mayweather the real estate to display his boxing skills. He will cut off the ring and force Mayweather to retreat until he's pinned against the ropes.

In short, Hatton will be all over him like white on rice...
