The quality of that match would depends on the weight class of the fight. Pacquiao has the speed to get to Floyd with big stuff. In any event, Pacquiao's bouts are definitely more exciting to watch. No question. Larry Merchant would tell you that.

depends on the opposition... if you say you haven't liked any of the mayweather fights and all of them being boring would be plain bias... gatti-PBF was a beatdown but it was exciting still

This comes down to what do you like see?

If you like to watch a defensive showcase or a non stop barrage of punches. Do you like to watch fighters who go forward or do you like to watch people fight going backwards? Do you like to see damaging punches thrown with intent to KO or pitty pat punches thrown to score points. Do you like to watch fights where fighters want the KO regardless of how far one is ahead or watch ones where, if the guy is winning will just go into cruise control for the remainder of the fight and take it to the cards?

Its all just a matter of preference.

You either know already know the answer or have never watched either of them fight.

If anyone is in doubt just Watch Morales vs. Pac 1 then watch Mayweather vs. Carlos Boldy and then you'll know who is the more exciting fighter and see that Mayweather is a much more flawless fighter with way better skills. I like both of them.

You can't be serious, any weight class 130 up Floyd would tear Pacman out the frame. Maybe not 130 actually, Floyd might be weight drained if he fought there. They would probably compromise and fight at maybe 137.

let's stick to a stereotype definition of excitement...

more punches = more action = more excitement...

In regards to Pacquiao, it's not a matter of needing "to get inside." Pacquiao shoots in from the outside all the time. Comparing Oscar to Pacquiao is like comparing apples to oranges. The dynamics of a Pacquiao-Floyd fight are totally different from Oscar-Floyd.
