Peter-McCline is on!
Madison Square Garden is good to go for the WBC world title fight between interim champion Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter and three-time heavyweight title challenger Jameel McCline. Opportunity knocked for McCline after WBC titlist Oleg Maskaev injured his back in training last week. McCline, who had been preparing for a bout against Vitali Klitschko (slated for Sept. 22, but sc****d due to a Klitschko injury), is ready, willing and able to make the most of his world title shot, which will be nationally televised.Comment

I just don't see why an unrated fighter gets to fight for the interim title with Peter when there are plenty of better fighters available..

McCline, Ruiz, Golota.. etc... All it takes is to be a name and a King fighter and you'll keep getting a title shot after a title shot

Not too thrilled about Mccline but at least he's better than Golota...Comment

Mccall was asking for too much money, I heard. As for Dimitrenko, Virchis, (Donnelll) Holmes, and Tua they're all ranked in the top ten but not to my knowlegde showed any interest in jumping in with Peter...
