As an adult I've only shed tears over the death of a relative, never the outcome of a boxing match or any other sporting event. However, I've come as close as one can without actually crying. Severe protracted disappointment is the best description of the emotion felt when -
    1. Ali was knocked down and subsequently lost the the first fight to Frazier.
    2. Durán turned his back on Leonard in the so-called "no mas" debacle in New Orleans*
    3. Tyson was knocked on his ass and out by Buster Douglas in the biggest upset since Ali "shook up the world."

*That Durán said "no mas" is one of boxing's most enduring myths. It was Howard Cosell at the broadcast mike who uttered those words as the outcome became apparent. What Durán actually said was - "no quiero seguir con éste payaso" (I don't want to go on with this clown).

      Just so you know.
I think my mistake was asking her instead of telling her hehe.

I've always found it kind of offensive that Cosell said he said "No mas." "Hey, that Mexican fighter quit, he's probably saying... NO MAS!" Ummm, cool Howard, first off, he didn't say that, and second, don't just sub in the Spanish you know to spin what you see.

(I know Duran is Panamanian, not Mexican, it was for the story)
