Natoral Talent or dedication, which one wins

Say a fighter was naturally talanted but not dedicated in the way of training every single day of his life, which onw would u say would win in a fight
I ask this as i believe Hatton is a more naturally talanted fighter than Mayweather. Mayweather is more dedicated yet he seems manufactured.
Yet Ricky goes on the piss all the time but still wins his fights as he has a natural talent. i know this will catch up with him one day but hes in his prime at the min.
Just bear in mind 2 footballers though, David Beckham is probably the most dedicated footballer there is, he is the floyd Mayweather of football so to speak, yet he will never ever be as good as ******* addicted Diego Marradonna who was the greatest play to ever live
so what u reckon peeps, natural talant or dedication?

I go with dedication. You'll end up nothing if you don't have dedication. But I don't personally see Hatton and PBF related to this. Thay are both naturally talented and dedicated.

no i was just using them as an example, more so with Ricky as he is not as dedicated at Floyd, it's more a question of natural talent v's dediacation

I see Floyd as a very dedicated fighter, but maybe not in this Hatton fight. Hatton is the hungrier fighter so I believe he will be more dedicated than Floyd this time. Floyd will be spending more time in his dance practices, he will be Dancing with the Stars. =))

I have to admit, I am always puzzled as to why a professional athlete would allow himself to get out of shape. I don't even understand a regular, non-athlete who walks around with a fat body. Put down the damn cheesecake and go to the gym.

How does a guy gain 30-40 pounds in a couple of months? What tastes THAT good?

But to answer your question, dedication alone beats natural talent alone.

...But when you combine the two, you get something very special.

In the old days, dedication because at the end of the day its the dedication that makes you the aggressor in a fight regardless of punchcounts, and you can win rounds and therefore fights that way. These days, when half the judges are bought and the other half are blinded by anything slick looking, natural talent.

I read that Floyd had been practicing for about five hours per day over the past month.
