Well this shocked me a lot. Like for real. Coming from the guy that got destroyed by Hatton and almost beat Floyd. Hmm.

In fact, it may be the most commonly spoken words by a boxer before a fight: I feel good, I feel strong, etc.

I am not denying that Hatton's win over JLC was a good one. It was. Any win is a good one. Ask Zab Judah.

But I just don't think it is appropriate to make any comparisons between the Hatton-castillo fight and the PBF/JLC fight.

Would you say that PBF's win over DLH is equal to Shane's win over DLH?
Put shortly and sweetly, I wouldnt say PBFs win over DLh is quite equal to Shanes win over DLH because DLH was younger when he fought Shane. But PBFs win isnt far off because DLH would have trained real hard for the PBF fight and DLh did say he was in great shape for PBF.
But i think it is appropriate to point out the manner of Hattons victory over Castillo because Castillo is the only common denominater between PBF and Hatton in how we can compare how the fight with PBF and Hatton would go. Yes PBF did beat a prime castillo then. But Hatton beat Castillo more convincinly. Lets say Castillo was slightly over the hill for arguments sake when he lost to Hatton. But he lost more convincingly. So that is what we have to go on. What else have we got when trying to gauge how the outcome will be between the brit and yank.?

Common denominator? Castillo was 5 yrs younger and his prime when he faced Floyd and the current 135lb champ. Floyd was moving up in weight for his 1st fght at 135 lbs to face him and Castillo was getting his purse. In the Hatton andCastillo fight, Castillo was th 1 moving up in weight. He was out of his prime and he wasn't getting his purse. That don't sound like a common denominator to me...

That wasn't even a shadow of the Castillo that fought Mayweather, so don't get too excited.

If the dancing competition keeps him occupied till 2-3 weeks before the fight then in mu opinion there is no question that it will impact on him in the fight. Those final couple of weeks training are where you tighten everything up and bring the 10 weeks of previous training to climax. Now, if Floyd is preoccupied with this dancing jig, then there is no way he can be fully prepared for the fight. Its just not humaly possible.

I personally just think that its a terrible mistake on Floyds part. As I said before, this could be his toughest fight of his career, irrespective of whether he trains hard or not.
They also said Baldomir was his toughest fight...hell every fight is his toughest fight, let yall tell it. Who has Hatton fought that is anything remotely close to Floyd and his style and his skills and ring prowess... I don't think he has faced anything like a Floyd so was makes u think he will be so tough

you could turn it around by saying who has Floyd thought whos a p4p top 5 fighter in his prime b4.
Its the biggest test for both of them and I think the pair of them are gonna put on a belter on Dec 8th.
One thing is for certain those who try to pick holes in both fighters will have nothing but respect for the pair of them come Dec 9th imo

man to be onest hatton doesnt have much of a chance because his best win was against out of his prime castilo and hes had 44 fights i mean how can u have 44 fights with only 1 guy being ur best win.

Not true. Mayweather beat Tony Pep by decision in 98. Hatton TKO'd him in 4 rounds in 2001.

All im trying to do is gather up available evidence as to what would happen between Hatton and PBF. PBF starts favourite but favourites dont always win. Even when the favourite is so much favoured to win. More so than PBF over Hatton. Tyson was heavily favourtie agaisnt Douglas but it didnt go right for him on the night. Noone expected Douglas to win.
After weighing up PBFs and Hattons career, agreed PBF is fave, but anything can happen and it depends on who shows up in that ring that night. Hatton has had a few off nights and nearly lost recently. Hes over that. And maybe it is PBFs turn for his off night. Maybe Hatton brings something to the ring PBF has never faced, and Hatton forces PBF into a off night. Who knows?
