    Whaaaaaaaaat

I don't see that Mr. De La Hoya... because like someone said, Hatton doesn't jab... Hatton wrestles his way in, and I think after a few rounds Floyd has timed it, and then Ricky has no chance... but maybe he comes forward the whole fight, that would be good, so at least the poeple get there money's worth, and Floyd can't cruise

Personally I think the jab is so important against Floyd because it sets everything up. Oscar wasn't just snapping Floyd's head back. He was using it to set his punches up. Mayweather's style of fighting relies on balance and reflexes. By throwing a stiff jab (it has to be thrown with intensity, not that measuring jab Gatti was throwing that Floyd ate up) you will make Floyd react by either dipping right or backing up. During that split second Floyd is vulnerable to other punches.

Now I know for a fact Hatton is better suited than any other fighter Floyd has faced recently at taking advantage of that vulnerable moment. The question is, is his jab good enough to do this? Because you cant just have any jab like I said about Gatti, you have to have a powerful and probably long jab. Hatton's T-rex arms will make this difficult, but his quick foot speed might compensate for that.

Like I said. Let me clear up this jab fiasco with some people. Alright, Oscar's jab undoubtedly had success against Floyd. However, not many people have a jab as fast and as strong as Oscars. DLH is LEFT HANDED and fights orthodox so he uses his dominant hand (why do you think his left hook is so good) to jab. Using his dominant hand to jab makes it supremly fast and strong, I can count the people with better jabs than him on my hand, because there aren't to many

Tell me Floyd didn't win those 2 rounds, are you serious?

You are pulling at teeth AGAIN. Floyd never left second gear, I mean he took rounds off.

De La Hoya would love to be in Mayweathers shoes. He can't stomach the idea of someone else taking the "Spotlight". This is nothing more than an envy driven tirade. You are no longer the "Headlining" figure, Golden Boy. Those days are over. Sure he would love to matched up against any young rising star, who happens to be much smaller. This would somehow restore some of the once deserved, ring prominence. At this point in your career I'd be more interested in seeing you setting a match with Vernon Forest, who happens to be in your, 154lb weight class. Just as it was avoided in the De La Hoya Heydays; This match would never take place (For one reason only: High Risk). Damn Oscar the stage is big enough for everyone. Your "Star Power" has faded. Get over it!

To be honest I think that De La Hoya won the sixth, and the eighth was about even until the last ten seconds when Oscar got the best of that little flurry.

Nothing landed in that flurry and in round six, that round was pretty close so there is much debate.

                    Thank you...

[QUOTE=DIOS DOMINICANO;2676371]"Most people cannot see past a convincing Mayweather win, but I've been in the ring with him recently and I'm giving Hatton a tremendous chance to win," said De la Hoya. "Mayweather didn't like me jabbing at him for the first five rounds in our fight. He didn't know what to do," he said. "Hatton is younger, faster and stronger. He's going to have his hands full, but if he adds the jab much more to his armoury, Mayweather's going to be in for a surprise."

                    1) Oscar, if you were so convinced that the jab was beating Floyd, why didn't you just coast to an easy victory?

                    2) Hatton is "younger, faster, and stronger" than WHO??

                    3) Oscar, are you suggesting that Hatton -with his 9 inch long arms - start jabbing Floyd?QUOTE]

                    Too dang funny!

Should we be worried about the judging in this fight? Considering Oscar is the promoter, and badly wants an important fight with Hatton to cement his legacy.
I believe Floyd is too smart to leave this fight in the hands of the judges and risk losing his "0".

I think he'll realize when the right moment will be to turn up the heat so there's no room for doubt.

If Ricky decides to utilise the jab too often, Floyd will spot the openings and it'll just be a mess in there with all the tomato sauce and pepperonies all over the canvass.

And yes, Oscar wants lil' ol' Ricky in a future fight.

Notice Oscar's not clamoring for nor demanding a re-match with Floyd for much more moola?

                    Go figure.

Oscar knows he can't beat Floyd. He wants to live viacriously through Ricky, and pray til' early May Ricky accomplishes something he did not.
