A prime Winky Wright could possibly win a decision against Pavlik, but I highly doubt it. Winky is a natural 154 pounder, Pavlik is one of the biggest,strongest power punching middleweights of all time. Winky's chin wouldn't be able to hold up to the accumulation of punches.

I don't think Pavlik beating Wright is too far fetched. I'm picking him to beat Taylor and I think at this stage in their careers i'd pick him over Wright also.

You cant really compare this match up with the Trinidad fight because their styles are completely different. Pavlik throws a much higher volume of punches and straighter punches than Trinidad. I think Pavlik would be too big and too strong for Winky.

good question. i would have to say that winky would win a decision against pavlik. winky is too smart and too experienced. i tihnk winky would get hurt in the fight but would pull out the decision...

Defensive minded smart guys don't get KOed not Hopkins nor Floyd nor Toney. What in the hell makes you guys think Pavlik would KO Winky? Winly has an excellent chin and his defense enable him to not get hit clean very often.

You guys amaze me one ****ing loss in his last twelve and now he's a bumb. And Tyalor was decent in the Winky fight he wasn't landing that much. And he never once hurt Winky. Winky would decision Pavlik. His style plays intio Pavlik Winky would invite Pavlik to get off combos block a majority of the punches and fire back as he usually does

I see it as a close fight based on styles. But truth to be told we haven't had a busy, power puncher in the middleweight division for a long, long time. We also saw that winky got busted up by Taylor and Taylor's not that of an active fighter, nor is he pwerful. He doesn't hit to the body well either. So what makes some people believe that Winky wins 12 by a wide margin I honestly don't know. I see it as a close, grueling fight. I can not see winky knocking out Pavlik cause Winky's power and killing instinct are ****. But I don;t see Winky getting koed either. It's possible he gets knocked down, but the guy has so much heart and pride.

Winky owns Pavlik, simple as that, Pavlik is vulnerable both in short and long range, the only range he contorls is the middle, and thats more because his short punches are so plodding , they work better at midrange.....

Wibky would come forward, get inside of Pavliks jab to land his own, then Pavlik would try to close in and punch winky, winky parries and lands counter uppercuts and hooks inside.....
