I watched it live on Sky as it happened. What the hell do you expect them to say in that situation? They are not expecting to be saying anything until the press conference is over and they suddenly have to make apologies and cut the live audio to make sure the swearing. They can hardly turn around and say "Well as you have just heard Ricky doesn't give a **** and neither do we so enjoy the rest of this press conference and if you don't like the language you can **** off."

Listen, champ. The Sky Sports announcer kept apologizing to the audience. THAT is the criteria I use for what was appropriate or not.

If hatton uses profanity on HBO, fair play on him. That is an appropriate venue. Nobody would take notice, By contrast, if he did that on NBC, it would be a problem.

Apparently, that network that he was on was not the proper forum for his choice of language.
