    Compare the two:

    Castillo - Mayweather II

    and

    Hatton - Castillo II

    ...you guys be the judge.

How past prime was Castillo????Objective opinions please. No hatton ball lickers and no Floyd ball lickers.

Castillo was past his prime. Rick wrote this in his pre-fight prediction and he was 100% correct.

Castillo barely got the nod against 15-0 Herman Ngoudjo, who was recently given a gift decision over Randall Bailey.

I was more concerned with Castillo’s performance than anything Hatton did in the ring against Urango. Castillo was barely a mirror reflection of himself when measuring his past performances against the lackluster effort with Ngoudjo. Hopefully, for Castillo’s sake, his shortcomings against Ngoudjo were caused by a case of ring rust, and not case of physical decline.

castillo was not only passsed his prime. he was dealing with all his financial burdens and debt, and larry said basically even with the purse he got from the hatton fight he was still hella in debt. so he was fighting for free that night.

also throw in the fact that chico just died like a week before im sure he was mad distracted!

At the time i felt Castillo mind was not in the fight, after all he went down from a bodyshot where he was fully aware of what was going on but his mind was not in the fight. But after watching these two videos to me is evident that Castillo lost a step in reflexes/timing and just being strong minded, no way the Castillo before the Corrales fight stays on the mat for the count of 10 no way.

But to be fair a younger, fresher, hungrier fighter was going STRAIGHT at him. And a clearly better fighter, at least in that weight class. Of course he is going to look pretty bad.

And Castillo even looked crappy in his fight previous to Ngoudjo, vs Reyes
