Kelly Pavlik was somebody before he fought Miranda you know. Quite alot of people including myself picked him to win that fight.

Well that ends it i guess!

Wait, rewind.... so a mediocre fighter (as of now his best win is agains another mediocre fighter) is going to school a guy who beat one of the greatest middleweights of all time, twice, and had fought a lot of world class competition since? Pavlik might put up some fight, but he will eventually get tired of the taste of leather. Taylor KO 7.

His problem was Pavlik and his lack of strategy, not his body failing him. Fatigue looked to be the least of his worries.
You are WRONG. He was 2 pounds over on the first try and weighed close to super middleweight two days before the weigh-in.

So Pavlik is a mediocre fighter because he's blown out every single one of his opponents including (at the time) number one contender Miranda. Just because he hasn't had the chance to fight a good fighter doesn't mean he cant win.

People played this game before the Miranda fight and lost. Now they are trying it again with the Taylor fight. We'll see come September 29th.

Why dont we all just wait until next saturday, and see what happens then.

If Taylor beats Pavlik, he DEFINETLY deserves a lot of credit for the win cause Pavlik is a very good fighter who i would pick over Abraham or any other top 10 middleweight for that matter.

He WILL win a title even if he loses.

Jermain will get his first KO win in a long time on Sept. 29th. The ghost will disappear after that.

Taylor by KO in the 7th round.

Jermain Taylor hasn't knocked anyone since the days of the Ancient Roman Colosseum. He couldn't knock out Ouma (who said he wants to go back down to WW), he couldn't knock out Winky (granted that's not easy to do) and he couldn't knock out Spinks (a LIGHT WELTER! who Judah knocked out) so what makes Emmanuel think that he's going to knock out a true middleweight like Pavlik in three rounds? Fact is, Taylor's power is vastly overrated as is his back-up all night long defense and he is easy to hit so every time he gets one in on Pavlik, he will likely be countered. This is all psychological hype by Emmanuel in order to rile up and motivate his man JT (who has been lackadaisical), but it ain't going to work.

I know, there's no excuses in boxing, blah, blah, blah. You're the same guys though that make plenty of excuses for your own mistakes in life so try not playing the hypocrite role for once guys.

For a fighter like Jermain Taylor, Pavlik's style is Taylor made (Pun intended). He comes forward with very little foot work, slow as molasses, no head movement, mediocre defense, predictable and staright up and down with no special effects. As Emanuel Stewart stated Kelly is asleep in 3.
I don't expect taylor to lose this fight. I mean the man fought and didn't lose against 4 former champions. Two of them which had not been defeated or dominated in years by the time they fought taylor. Yeah pavlik has a puncher's chance but that means little when facing a slicker and more skilled boxer. If some of think that pavlik will donminate taylor like he did miranda you know nothing about boxing. I see the fight going no further than the 8th round.

Yeah i understand your opinion but you need to understand that its hard to get a decent knockout against a good southpaw. I box myself and I have sparred with a couple of southpaws. I mean its actually tough to get a good knockout shot in because its so awkward. Yeah Judah knocked out spinks but remember that they were both southpaws. You said taylor is very easy to hit and his defense is not great. Pavlik is in the same boat. If it wasn't for miranda being dehydrated he would have knocked pavlik out. I honestly think people are giving pavlik too much credit for beating a fighter that wasn't physically prepared for the fight in the first place. I would have to wait until Sept 29 cause as of right now I honestly feel that pavlik brings nothing to the table to take taylor's title.
