I'm quite sure I was attending boxing bouts before you were even born, son...

i don't care, nor does it matter how long you have attended boxing matches. the way you are coming off makes it sound as though you have fallen into the same trap as nearly everyone has. truth is that almost everybody believes that the boxing they grew up watching was "the good old days" when the division was great and filled with talent. another trap is that fans will also create/beleive in better images of a division if it contained one of their all time favorite fighters.

next, don't ever call me son. do you think i am some wet behind the ears 16 year old who just started watching boxing a year or two ago? i have been following boxing for over a decade and have trained in martial arts for nearly 14 years. i know a little something about fighting.

i will also apologize since it seems that i have i come off a bit harsh. if you have been around here for a little while, you would know that the "division is weak" bull**** gets thrown around quite a bit from people whose fave heavyweight isn't doing so well or a heavyweight they hate is - so it sounds more like a childish statement and less like a well thought critical statement.

now, drop the attitude and have some more goddamned respect than calling me "son." do that and we could get along just fine.

Lewis has made it known multiple times that he is secure with his legacy and that he has no drive to go back into boxing. there have always been rumors, especially with that whole Klitschko vs. Lewis ridiculousness...but Lennox has always waved them off.

and i dont want to be mean about todays divison, but honestly, other than a select few...most of the contenders would get beat up by say the 90s eras. guys like prime Tua, Mercer, Bruno, coming out of jail Tyson, younger Holyfield would pretty much beat everyone other than Klitschko, and maybe some others due to style matchups, because that does matter.

That wouldn't help boxing out whatsoever, it would actually make things worse than they already are.

I think Lennox could seriously still school some kids in the HW Division if he decided to come back. Chances are he won't though, his legacy is in tact, and he's constantly said he doesn't want to come back, although it could all be a ploy.

            No, no, no.

He still ducked V. Klitschko... Even though they still fought, that fight was bull.
