    Time to Change the subject.

Ok, way too many Hatton/Mayfairy threads of late, so I think we should discuss something worthwhile tonight.

Lately Everyone seems to think That tough man **** where the ripped dudes grope each other into submission is overtaking our beloved sport. That may, or may not be true. Lets assume for a minute that it is true. That said, why?

How can a bunch of obviously inferior athletes be more entertaining than the most skilled fighters in the world? How can guys that fall down and wrestle for 10 minutes be what people want to see?

I have my own opinions, but this is more about an overall consensus.

How can A chuck Lidell or Quentin Jackson generate more interest than a Floyd Mayweather, or a Ricky Hatton.

    Thoughts.

And yes like everything else I'm sure this has been done before, but opinions do change. So if you don't have a thought pertaining to THIS subject just move along!

well this is just one of the things i think when i think ufc vs boxing, in the ufc it took Rampage 1 fight in the ufc before he got a rematch with chuck, not since 2002-2003, which is when ppl started talkin ricky vs floyd, the fights and the fans come first in the ufc its cool, im boxin guys take 6 month out sometimes just to train for a big fight, ufc guys fight for **** money and the sheer love of fighting

Boxing is a science. MMA is not. MMA is about how conditioned and tough you are. Most of these probably couldnt even kick a soccer ball or throw a football.

I have respect for both sports but Boxing is so much more technical. So much more.

Boxing can really determine how good you are. I don't know much about MMA, and I hate it. Something about two men being all over each other makes me not wanna watch.

I just watched Fedor - Cro cop (which is widely viewed as one of the best technical heavyweight bouts ever) and Mayweather - Castillo 2. No comparison between the skill level and technique of both sports. Boxing is hands down the more technical sport. Hands down.

Ramapage is good for sports in general, definitely one of my favorite fighters ever since he pouinded Chuck out in Pride. They can coexist with one another, and they make each other better so there is room for both, for sure.

Rampage is the man. He's got alot of personality. He comes across as funny and comical and just putting on a little show for the camera. Not fake like Floyd.

                But that's another story..

Just saying. Both at the top of the sport really.

                    In other news:
Forrest Griffin trains like a beast. Too bad his face is going to get squashed up like a Pinata.
