I simply can't respect Ronnie anymore, especially after reading all of his biased Pacquiao articles as of late. It's gotten extremely out of hand, especially the bias. Anytime Pacquiao makes a move, Ronnie has an article devoted to it. I remember how thrilling the article on Pac running up a mountain was, that was edge of your seat stuff. Or how about the one where Pac sparred six rounds? Damn, I almost fainted after reading that one.

I understand Pacquiao has just about the most loyal, and large fan base in all of boxing, probably even more than Ricky Hatton. But the Pacquiao fanbase has taken on a sort of cult mentality in recent months. There are a few very respectful, honest, and likable Pacquiao fans on these boards, but I've seen more disrespect for Marco Antonio Barrera and his legacy in the past few months on this board than I ever have in my life.

It's no secret I'm a Barrera fan, but by the same token I'm also a Pacquiao fan. I'm just not insanely obsessed with every movement he makes. It's really disheartening to see such total disrespect for a fighter such as Barrera, by a group of people whom I know love and admire the sport, and the idol who lifted their spirits. But when it comes down to this level, it's simply giving everybody involved a bad name.

I'll be rooting for Barrera come October 6th, because I always have and I always will. Fighters who captivate your attention in the way Marco has captivated mine don't come along too often, and I'm not going to give up on him simply because he's old and the odds are stacked against him. I think anybody should be able to respect that.

Most of the stuff he reports about is total bull****. I am only reading these articles because he is fighting Barrera and I would like to know about the fight, but clearly I'm mistaken if I think Ronnie is actually gonna report anything that is true or objective. He is just gonna tell me what Pacquaio had for breakfast and how his wife is doing. I think he should be a tabloid writer instead of a boxing "journalist or reporter" because he is neither of those. And look at the title of the article, and what you get is hearsay and Sulaiman talking nonsense. I expected to hear about the new training methods, or why Barrera's training is deficient for his fight with Pacquiao so I guess I fell for the trap. I would like to ask the webmaster that from now on all articles by this man just be called "Ronnie's PacMan Diary" and just have numbered entries. It would help if they also began "Dear Diary". I know there's a market for this, but its called the Filipino tabloids not boxingscene. These are the only articles I read that are complete bs and totally nut hugging, I expect that from the fans but not from the people that bring me the stories. If you wanna read about Pacquiao's every move then go read Filipino tabloids because that is called being obsessed with celebrity, and not being a fan of boxing. I mean don't get me wrong, I like following fighters too, I just don't wanna know what they had for breakfast.
Someone is going to make a lot of money writing a Pacquiao biography, and Ronnie is going to be getting paid when he gets that job. Other than that, if Nathanielsz is getting paid as much as he is, someone is obviously reading him. Maybe not you, but there are quite a few people who are following every Nathanielsz article. It's a different market, just like how I can't stand some foods from certain cultures. But someone is definitely eating it, that's why it keeps getting made.

**** yeah man, and the fact that he is still willing to step in there with Pacquiao shows he has balls! I know I wouldn't wanna step in there with someone like Pacquiao. You gotta respect the fact that he is still willing to fight to give his fans a good show. If you can't respect that then your whole perspective is whack, maybe you'll miss him when he fades to black!

I don't know if this on purpose but I can see a Don King styled impersario saying this and it's funny.

Well obviously he's getting paid. (Although I think just the satisfaction of covering Pac's every move gives him a boner, and is payment enough for Ronnie) That's not what I was saying, its just when you read articles on a particular website and you expect their articles to be good and you choose to spend time of your day reading the articles, and even putting up with their new annoying pop-ups then you expect something from that website. I wouldn't wanna be reading the L.A. Times if I thought the articles that made it on there were complete garbage. That's all I'm saying. I'm sure people read this crap, I just expected better from a website that in my opinion has very good and informative articles.

I was so hyper with excitement when I read that one that I couldn't type correctly for the next hour. I mean just visualize it, Pac, with a mountain infront of him, and he starts running up it!

The only thing that would've made Ronnie happier would be if Pac were doing so in the nude.
