You are correct, but I was making reference at this part of the article:
"he said he had learned that Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer was against the fight being sanctioned by the WBC. Earlier reports indicated the promoters didn’t want to pay the sanction fee. However, Sulaiman said Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, Pacquiao and Barrera were not against the twelve round bout being for Pacquiao’s international title.

The WBC president said it would be an insult to Pacquiao because he is the champion and wants to continue to retain the title and Barrera wants to fight for the belt."

He is basically singling out Richard Schaefer who of course is affiliated with GBP and who incidentally promote Barrera. I was just saying it goes to show how all these corrupt mother****ers get upset if someone tries to make money off something without sharing the profits with them. Truly de****able comments he made about a man who has made him a lot of money in epic duels don't you think?

Having a WBC International title belt doesn't really change the fact that he was pretty right on with the rest of his post.

I guess I should have read the article thoroughly. Probably why I don't post much, but I would just like to say it pisses me off when anybody talks **** about fighters because they are men (or women) who have decided to enter a brutal and unscrupulous sport in which people like Sulaiman rule in corruption to entertain us. You have to be pretty skilled, brave, strong or ****** to want to enter a ring and face another man who wants to hurt you, but these guys sacrifice their lives to do it for our entertainment. That is why they are paid so well, but I find it disrespectful if someone thinks any professional fighter is not entirely dedicated to what they do. We the fans couldn't do it at that intensity level, that's why I respect it. Now if the person you pay money to validate your fights, and thus create a bigger spectacle because you are fighting for that particular organization's form of validation, respect, honor and tradition then you expect that organization's delegates to be just as professional and honorable as the organization itself. Why would I want to make my company money when the CEO talks **** about me at the water cooler? Doesn't make any sense, nobody like Sulaiman should be the head of a council that heralds itself as the sport's standard for tradition, history and respectability. That's why I felt compelled to write a post.

and "IN CONTRAST" which already means Pacquaio is training WAY better than Barrera who has decided to train near his home, and close to his family, oh wait, is that really "In Contrast", or is that the same thing Pacquiao has decided to do? As I recall, he was scheduled to train in the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood but then took off to the Phillipines, why doesn't this article talk about that? I'm sick of your biased BS Ronnie! but then again that's why you're in Manila and not in Manila AND Guadalajara. But anway Pac:

likes the heat and it helps him get into top condition especially when he takes the KILLER uphill run at the Alta Vista subdivision in Cebu.

On a side note: I would like to say that I'd put up my house to bet that this isn't even a real quote, I'm pretty confident Pacquaio would never say the words "killer uphill run", all the garbage this man writes is clearly overhyped and exaggerated. I usually don't post, I like to enjoy the articles but I've had as much as I can take from this clown.

This is absolute BS, it just shows that this guy is a joker, and Sulaiman is butt-hurt because Pac and Barrera have decided they don't have to split the cake with the WBC, and so Sulaiman says "it would be an insult" to Pacquiao. In reality though, Sulaiman is a greedy ******* who is willing to say anything as long as he's getting paid. He knows absolutely nothing about the hard work these guys put in the gym. To say that a legendary warrior who steps into a ring to test his physical strength, endurance and will against a man who is out to do the same and inflict pain upon him is "okay" is ****ing blasphemy and it shows he knows nothing about the art of boxing and the sacrifice that makes boxing a beautiful sport.
well you can add "According to Pacquaio's close friend and confidant Rex "Wakee" Salud" into the mix...

The Pinoy community have expressed our disappointment at all the seemingly meaningless articles of Ronnie way back in 2005 but I think he is a close friend of Rick Reeno so everything he writes is published here.

I also think its pretty funny that he keeps using:

"In an overseas telephone conversation with Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today."

Maybe those are the people paying him to hype up Pac. Either that or Rex 'Wakee" Salud who must be an egomaniac.

This man is disturbing for real. I read every article that comes out on the fight so I can see if there are any actual facts about what's going on in either camp but as soon as I see it was written by Ronnie then I know to expect a teenage girl's diary entry about what happened in Pac's camp.

Jose Sulaiman that fat piece of ****, trashing Barrera and Morales recently. He is everything that is wrong with boxing today. Willing to exploit a boxer at his peak until their careers are over, then toss them to the curb without paying them for their legacy and for making these overweight, overpaid sanctioning officials's pockets fat with cash. This is disgusting how this man behaves. He should be ashamed of himself. I don't even understand how he can even say how Barrera is training or whether he is training hard or not, fat piece of crap has probably never worked out a day in his life. He can't be trusted to provide rational opinions about the training of world class boxers.
Ronnie reports on whatever the Filipino audience wants to read about. The truth is, whether you appreciate his journalism or not, he has a vast audience who want to know what's the latest with Pacquiao.

You could try to do the same thing with any other fighter, but no one would read it. With Pacquiao, they do.

I don't know that he actually reports. He seems more like a stalker to me. And it's one thing to write about someone and another is to just nuthug to the point of being obnoxious and annoying, without any objective observations. Most of the stuff he reports about is total bull****. I am only reading these articles because he is fighting Barrera and I would like to know about the fight, but clearly I'm mistaken if I think Ronnie is actually gonna report anything that is true or objective. He is just gonna tell me what Pacquaio had for breakfast and how his wife is doing. I think he should be a tabloid writer instead of a boxing "journalist or reporter" because he is neither of those. And look at the title of the article, and what you get is hearsay and Sulaiman talking nonsense. I expected to hear about the new training methods, or why Barrera's training is deficient for his fight with Pacquiao so I guess I fell for the trap. I would like to ask the webmaster that from now on all articles by this man just be called "Ronnie's PacMan Diary" and just have numbered entries. It would help if they also began "Dear Diary". I know there's a market for this, but its called the Filipino tabloids not boxingscene. These are the only articles I read that are complete bs and totally nut hugging, I expect that from the fans but not from the people that bring me the stories. If you wanna read about Pacquiao's every move then go read Filipino tabloids because that is called being obsessed with celebrity, and not being a fan of boxing. I mean don't get me wrong, I like following fighters too, I just don't wanna know what they had for breakfast.
