  • Are there any elite one punch KO artists anymore?

Obviously, I am still kind of a rookie to the sport, so I haven't seen all the big names fight, BUT, I couldn't think of a single one punch KO artist who is even remotely close to the top of their division. The closest I could come to is Edison Miranda and Ricardo Mayorga, and that is a hell of a stretch to call those guys elite.

Maybe Manny Pacquiao? But it usually doesn't seem to be one punch that does it, it's usually an accumulation of those rocket straight lefts.

Anyone have any examples? (I have almost no experience in the heavyweight division, so I'm guessing I'll hear some names from there)

I did think about him, but knocking out dudes with losing records probably isn't as hard as it seems. If someone can't play defense, it's pretty easy to destroy their chin.

I thought of Daniel Ponce De Leon, so that's one.

None of the guys today are hitting people and just flat out putting them to sleep like Tszyu, Hearns and Jackson used to.

Wlad nearly has that type of power. Darnell Wilson seems to have enough power to change a fight with one punch. Kermit Cintron has it somewhere in him. Kofi Jantuah has devastating power when he lands (see M.A. Rubio). Ponce can crack. Rafael Marquez has one punch knock out power, but he doesn't throw as *******ly as he once did. Israel Vazquez as well for that matter.

I hear David Haye has a lot of power too, but I haven't seen much of him I'm afraid.

Yeah, I was thinking about Julian Jackson when I started wondering who has that kind of power today.

              Julian Jackson = badass.

Ricardo Torres can crack too, though he's not elite, he does have an alphabet belt.

The Hawk was indeed a bad mother****er. He could lay you down with either hand too. That's another thing you don't see today. Dudes will try to load up on a left or a right to get the KO. Jackson just ****in swung and it'd nearly decapitate his opponent.
