For the record, I'm not picking Pavlik because he beat Miranda. I'm picking Pavlik because I'm been a fan of his since 2005 when I saw him beat Zuniga. I don't think he's as skilled as Taylor in a sheer boxing sense but that's not going to stop me from supporting his effort to become Champion.

I think Jermain Taylor will walk away with the win, he isn't exactly Edison Miranda you know he's a whole different bowl of cereal, Pavlik's quality of opposition is nowhere near as good as Taylor, he has dealt with the dirtiest player in the game with one of the best defense tactics in a long time in Hopkins, the man with the impenetrable defense in Wright and other tough names to beat in the likes of Kassim Ouma, Cory Spinks, Alex Bunema and Daniel Edouard while Pavlik's only marquee names are no more than 4 in Bronco McKart, Jose Luis Zertuche, Edison Miranda and Fulgencio Zuniga whom knocked him down..

Taylor can box you and brawl with you and can punch with both hands, even though he's no Tyson he has pop in his punches, a great jab and the best active trainer breathing right now in Emmanuel Steward, Taylor will show something to Pavlik that he hasn't seen yet, not to say Pavlik is one dimensional because he's not but he head hunts, he goes for those bombs that either land or don't ya dig but he comes fouth and ****s away a lot, he has a stance and skills too though so I'm not discrediting Pavlik but Taylor's offense even on an off night as shown against the slick Cory Spinks is good enough to bring him the win and I highly doubt Taylor will pull off another Spinks performance so thats only worse for Pavlik..

if Taylor loses this fight it's because of something he did wrong, maybe another off night or something but Pavlik isn't gonna show him something that Bernard or Winky didn't, Kassim Ouma is a ****er just like Pavlik and even though he may not be as strong he still can **** and thier similar styles of wailing off when the proper chance is given falls in as points for Taylor because he's dealt with that, he tamed a beast before, he dealt with big punchers, his Jab is superior to most who claim to have a good jab and overall his skills are superior than Pavlik, he has what it takes to outsmart Pavlik...

Pavlik's best chance here is landing crushing blows continuously, cutting off the ring and going to the body EVERYTIME he get's a chance which he CAN do but Taylor wont just stand there, as the undefeated champion with sky high confidence he wont go down easy, I just think that when looking at both thier records Pavlik wont be able to deal with slick boxing, great defense and skills period, my take on this fight is Jermain Taylor by Unanimous Decision, all respect to Kelly Pavlik though because he's the proven number 1 contender who is undefeated, hungry and focused and now is the time for him to shine if he ever does but I just don't see him beating Jermain, anything is possible though.. 100

You have all overrated Pavlik Because he beat the Overrated Miranda.
I agree. This Pavlik craze is based on the strength of his win against Miranda, who was Grossly overrated for some reason. I never thought much of Miranda anyway, who appeared to be "drained" that night. We cant say for sure if Miranda was 100%.

If Taylor would just use that jab, I say he wins, but Im undecided on whether it will be by KO or UD.

As of right now the poll indicates a strong split down the middle, backing up the general boxing fan's opinion on the fight. Regardless it's going to be a hell of a fight and I can't wait much longer, I've been looking forward to this for months.

I'm getting low on my points... I have been betting a lot of them away. I'm also not 100% sure Taylor will win, but it is a fight that I felt strongly enough about to put some points on. 10K is too much for me on this fight though.

Too many unknowns about Pavlik for me to know what to expect.
