I think that the series will be once again terrific but they are making a big mistake by having Floyd again. I think that if they want this 24/7 series to be viable in the long run then they should have differentiated it with different fighters. While Floyd/Hatton is obviously a great character contrast, I feel that Mosley-Cotto or even Trinidad-Jones(provided HBO PPV distributes the fight) would have been more original

I am sorry but that would be HORRIBLY boring to watch. They are both great guys but Cotto is a Cyborg and all we would see is Mosley working out. People like drama and that is what Floyd and Hatton will bring.

Actually the question is:

if mayweather says hatton fights old fighters past their prime wouldnt that mean (since hatton is fighting him) that floyd is calling HIMSELF a fighter past his prime...

but to answer you question (and no im no floyd fanboy...i dont like him really at all actually). De la hoya is a tad past his prime but its true those 3 fighters were past their prime at the time they fought floyd (in my opinion).

oscar (in my opinion) out of that group i really thought beat mayweather...
