I am guessing you haven't seen many of his fights.

You said that Hatton was ducking Mayweather...

To the folks who said that DBE Ricky hatton was "ducking" Floyd Mayweather:

DBE Ricky Hatton was offered multiple fights with Mayweather (as early as 2004), and we know that he turned them down,

When he was offered the Mayweather fight in January of 2006, Team Hatton said that they were not ready for Floyd, and wanted 2 or 3 fights to prepare. And then they would take a Mayweather fight. I was very critical of them at the time.

So what did they do? They took 3 fights, and now they are fighting Mayweather. They have done exactly what they said they would do. And for that, I GIVE THEM CREDIT.

This fight is MUCH bigger now, than it would have been back then.

...but the problem for DBE Hatton, is that Floyd is also much bigger now.

Well thank **** for that, because Team Hatton have just been on the phone, desperate they hadn't got your approval. They said "I wish he wouldn't just give us his blessing, but that he'd spam NSB with a fresh new thread on it as well."

At the end of the call they simply said: "Whoopee ****!"

You'll take what you can get... and like it.

When DBE Ricky Hatton returns home belt-less on Dec 14th (after, of course, a few days of hospital rest), please be sure to give him the welcome he deserves.

I thought what he did against Baldomir was somewhat entertaining because of how well he was executing the hit and not get hit strategy.

I do realize that some boxing "fans" are the same people who watch NASCAR for the flaming wrecks, so I guess we can't expect too much.

i liked wut he did against baldomir too. i musta wrote that wrong. i meant the only fight i can see casual fans saying was boring was the baldmoir fight (even tho to me it wasnt in the least) and that if any other fight of floyds is labeled boring it is jus pure hatred and ignorance...

No one really cares about the Baldomir fight, it was the De La Hoya travesty that was the problem. While I was on the edge of my seat during the fight because I wanted the arrogant jackass to lose, can you imagine the boxing fan that doesnt care either way? He probably thought the fight was rigged.

Casual boxing fans are notorious for not knowing how to score fights.

2 of the first fights I saw that I scored the wrong way:
                      Juarez W12 Barrera I
                      Tarver W12 Jones Jr. I

When you don't score a fight round by round, then you just look at the whole picture; who got the better of the other.

I did this for the Tarver fight especially. When he won his 5 rounds, he beat the **** out of Jones. Jones cruised and outworked Tarver a wee bit in the 7 rounds he won, but didn't do much by the way of damage. I wouldn't be surprised if Jones pissed blood after the first fight.

SO, I'm afraid nothing can be done about whether fans would have thought that was a robbery or not. Either Mayweather ****s away all his advantages, and brawls his way to a (legit) loss, or he plays his game, and makes scoring difficult for casual fans. What do you think he should have done in that instance?
