Many pundits believe Mayweather will outbox and outpoint Hatton. But does he give any credence to Mayweather's proclamation that he will fight him?

"Well, I don't want to speak too soon because he's a very versatile fighter. Don't kid yourself, he can fight up close and in close quarters and I don't want to make it sound that he can't. But I think he may stand there initially but then eventually he will back up. I'm not saying all he does is jab and move and get on the back foot and can't fight up close because he is a good fighter and he can pretty much do everything. But I don't think it'll last that long if he does, really."

That last sentence seems so out of place. I really do believe you now when you say that Hatton is only putting on a show of confidence.

I think it would be smart of ricky to prepare for the possibility that he can't outwork The Floyd inside.

This quote indicates to me that hatton is aware that the potential exists that Plan A may not be effective, but he still seems to be firmly rooted in that singular plan.

One body shot by hatton could seriously turn the fight...

Mayweather cannot and will not fight toe to toe, he loses all his natural reflex advantage that way

Man, do you even understand how much power it takes to crack some ribs at 140 with padded gloves on? Yes, he is one of the best body punchers in this era!

Floyd couldn't go toe to toe with Castillo or he would have. He went toe to toe with gatti because he had an outrageous speed advantage and Gatti couldn't react because of ring wear!

Hatton is prime and almost unstoppable at 140. 7 pounds wont stop that when the guy he is fighting is a natural 140 pounder!
