Hatton is prime and almost unstoppable at 140. 7 pounds wont stop that when the guy he is fighting is a natural 140 pounder!
how can he break floyds ribs if he is countering everything hatton throws

It is not past sense, and here is why:

      1) When two skilled fighters are in close, the quicker-handed fighter has a natural advantage.

      2) The Floyd has displayed in-fighting skills before in bouts with good opposition.

      3) The Floyd is an extremely clever and tricky fighter. And sometimes a bit dirty. He uses forearms, elbows and shoulders well. Much like James Toney.

      4) The Floyd is deceptively strong. Perhaps he isn't as strong as hatton. Who knows? But he won't get 'muscled around', as evidenced by his several fights with bigger men.

      5) FMJ is a very good bodypuncher in his own right. His very first pro bout was actually stopped on a bodyshot. He hurt gatti badly to the body. He put in bodywork on zab, And he stopped both Bruseles and Sharmba to the body.

      6) PBF has a good chin, and appears durable.

      7) His stamina and conditioning (in the past) have been first-rate.

I'm NOT disagreeing with you that Mayweather's chances are FAR improved the greater he puts this fight at range. I am merely saying that the CLEAR advantage that hatton thinks he will find inside will not materialize.

Side note: Mayweather can "conceivably" outbox hatton??!! Conceivably?

Nobody said anything anything like that, you said Hatton was like a super strong animal just by mentioning super strong animal and hatton together, you are da don but today ,realise floyds worst nights have come when somebody puts pressureLike Castillo who was robbed vs Mayweather in the eyes of many and vs Oscar who almost beat Floyd in a split decision win for Floyd, one judge more in favor for Oscar and Floyd would have gotten beaten by a ageing Oscar who fights unregularly about less than once a year

i agree, plus Hatton wont be at 147, if i remember correct he's going to be around 143 and i'm sure floyd will be around 145 or so. Another thing that bothers me about the Hatton bashing is they act like he's a slug and has no speed. He is very very quick on his feet and moves side to side as fast as anyone.

But w/e, i'm looking forward to watching two world class fighters in their prime go at it.

              1) Oh. The myth that Castillo's ribs were broken? Is that true?

              2) Floyd was MUCH smaller than castillo when they fought six years ago. That isn't an appropriate example. I'm wondering why knowledgeable fans use examples like this. Floyd moving to 135 to fight castillo is the equivalent of Hatton moving to 147 to fight margarito. That is a better example.

hatton NEVER weighs 143... Where did you get that from? hatton will be 146-147 at weigh-in, and 153-ish on fight night.

BUt you at least have to agree, if Floyd goes toe to toe, his reflex advantages are not so great, Floyd has to move with his feet to be untouchable at times, please answer this boxingscenes true DON, what type of fights have been the toughest on Floyd, when pressure is applied(Castillo,Oscar) or when skill is used(Mitchell, Judah), or when another fighter is looking for a K.O(Corley,Gatti)

Broke four of his ribs, 100% true.
