that off balance knockdown meant very little as the fight continued, he wasnt hurt neither. Infact, Hatton is so accomplished at welter, he moved back down to 140 to prove how dominant he was as a welter.

You and I both know mayweather is the ONLY welter who wouldnt destroy him within a few rounds, can you imagine Hatton trying to bullrush and push around Cintron? Williams? Cotto? No. And in all honesty, he likely wont be able to just push around floyd neither, this is really the only top welter hatton matches up with, all the others would tear him a new *******.

so u think Ricky should rematch collazo? Come on fella, Mayweather is a better bet for Ricky. I know Floyd is **** hot but Ricky struggles with southpaws, especially someone who is nearer a light middleweight and that tall.
Floyd's stlye is more suited to Ricky that Collazos imo regardless of floyd being a far superior fighter

Hatton said he would rematch him, not me. I dont think its just the fact that Collazo was a southpaw, i think it has everything to do with the fact that Hatton will never be successfull in boxing unless he can muscle his oppnent around or push him around. His whole style revolves around it, which is why he ran back to 140 because him and his team realize it also. When Collazo finally realized that Hattons punches werent hurting him (even the knockdown didint hurt him) he actually stepped up his workrate and nearly knocked Hatton out.

This makes perfect sense. This fight is a mismatch just for the money. Its not to far off of a Pac/DLH matchup. Hatton has no business fighting at 147, he should fight Pac, JMM @ 140. A Floyd win over this midget is almost utterly meaningless.

I know that's sarcastic, but whether you can open your eyes and see it or not, it's pretty much the truth. Other than Pac and JMM, of course.

in reality it is for the money, because if it wasnt, Hatton would have stayed at 147 and try to campaign there, i know youre being a smart ass, but in reality how often do you see a guy take one fight against average competition for a piece of an alphabet title, and then move back down because someone can actually take your punch.

What if after floyd fought castillo, he moved back down to 130 instead of rematching him or at least, taking more fights at that weight.

I agree and understand your point, As a hatton fan it looked bad him saying
he would rematch Collazo but didnt instead running back to 140 against low-level competition and i imagine if PBF had done that then a lot of people would have picked up on how he ran back down after castillo fought him but instead he actually rematch castillo to prove a point.

I don't think any ref will allow it now that it's been made such a big deal. Hatton's pattented hook-and-hug is being discussed nonstop. There is no way any world-class ref will allow it.
