Will the referee allow Hatton to hold and hit against Mayweather?

  • If the Ref allows it Mayweather will take off his gloves and starting kicking them around the ring while crying......But anyway I don't think the ref will allow too much rough stuff unless he has a deep down disgust in Mayweathers additude like most people.

        • I would be surprised if the ref allows Hatton to hit Mayweather period.

There isn't a boxer out there who doesn't try to hold his opponents right arm close in to his body with his left arm so he can wail on the other guy's body with his right and to have an advantage over the other guy's free left. They just usually try to do it on the other side of the ref. If Floyd gets away with throwing elbows and pushing off with his left elbow to give him room to punch then Hatton ought to get away with something as well.

good post!!!! It is true that Floyd pushes of to make space with his forearms and I beleive hatton will be allowed to fight his fight and should be able to, there should not be some special exception just bexcause it's floyd. It has been allowed to this point and he should be able to fight his fight.

Against the #1 rated boxer in the world, will the referee(whoever they may be) allow Hatton to cheat like he has in his last handful of fights?
What kind of double standard is this? Hopkins can do it but Hatton can't? *******s.
