      Agreed, he has beat a few greats, but he also lost to Moorer, Lewis, Ruiz, Byrd, Toney, and Donald. I personally think he is a great, but I can understand if someone would say he isn't.

        The word "great" is attributed to an elite fraternity of fighters in each division. To be considered great, a fighter must consistently rank among the top ten champions of his main weight class. Evander was (is?) a formidable gladiator, the real deal, if you will, but he lacks that intangible element of which legends are made.
