    American Heavyweights are PATHETIC

The days of Dempsey,Tyson,Marciano, and Ali are long gone. There will never be another American heavyweight champion again for as long as we live because they have lost the hunger, amatuer background, heart, and toughness that made them great in this past century. The only piece left from the glory days is Evander Holyfield and sadly enough he may be the best American heavyweight right now. People are going to have to get used to the fact that White Eastern European Heavys are going to dominate for the rest of existence.

Dont know if they will dominate for the rest of the existance, but yes right now US heavyweights are garbage..becuase all of the great US athelets choose other sports like Football or basketball. Where they can make more money without getting there heads bashed in. But America has produced the greatest boxers the world has ever seen hands down.

Don't say never. Right now there is no one any good in the game; no one even in the remote regions of the game has a chance at making it, but don't say NEVER. That's some Larry Holmes ****, get above it. Right now maybe 15-6 of the top 20 are in fact Euros, kudos to those guys, but that could change in ten years. It won't change in five, but in ten it just might.

Statements like this are proof that we don't understand much; America's problem is that it believes in its "athletes." But what does that mean? You think b/c a guy can shoot a basketball, he could fight if he wanted to. This couldn't be more wrong. You don't think they have other sports in other places?

The Euros stepped up their boxing game, we stepped our down. For now. That's all there is to it.

the fact that our heavyweight stars are probably in the NFL is a VERY relavant and TRUE statement.

Why fight, when the odds are slightly better that ull make it in the NFL, and u'll definetly make a ton more money?

The ones that could have been major heavyweight stars, opted out of boxing and went into football.

its a very true statement, absolutely no doubt about that

You'll get over this eventually; the top three today match the top three from most eras. Also, look at some of the contenders from other eras. You think Ali's competition was consistently outstanding? Most of those guys would be journeymen cruiserweights today.

I agree with him. Id say 6 or 7 rounds. Peters better, and he already nearly stopped Klitschko on several occasions in the first fight
