Oscar at anywhere from 130-147.. Was very impressive. I think he's very underrated, because he lost some big fights. Though, in my personal opinion he should have beat Mosley the second time and Trinidad.

Also, of note, if De La Hoya would have got those two wins, that he deserved, imagine how most boxing fans perception of him, would be way different. But because he makes so much money, and didn't get the decision, in my opinion, that he deserved, people hate. That's sad.

I think he was best at lightweight..he had power/speed/movement...as he kept moving up in weight his power seem to suffer..he was still fast and always had great movement but his power wasnt that same.

And who at 154 can hit like he does? He's got sick power all the way up; power has never been an issue with him

Vargas? Tito is a different story. But who right now can hit like Oscar at 154?

You're right that his power at 135-40 was insane, but it's still very good also at 154.

Yes Vargas has more power at 154 is that so hard to understand?..DLH for me was best at lightweight..that was were he looked most dominant. Not to say he wasnt great at 147 or 154..but he clearly did not carry the same thunder at that weight. Just look at when he fought Sugar Shane..he was going toe to toe..sitting down on his punches..and thats the same Mosely that got rocked by Forrest.

Oscar only fought 2 times at 130, not 13.

So it has already been corrected. The only reason I posted it like that was just because it was until he won the title at 130. Correctly though, it was only twice.

And in reply to the above comments, de la Hoya's power always looked good to me. He is still a great puncher, and even had a good punch as a middleweight.

Picking DLH's best weight is tough.

He was dominant @ 135, but let's not forget that most of the top quality guys he faced there were smaller guys (130 lbers). Ruelas was an exception being a world class lightweight. Plus DLH had less experience here.

At 140 and 147, DLH had more experience. He didn't fight much @ 140, but he looked very good when he did fight there.

It's tough to call but I went with 140.
