I think Mosely will be more responsible for the PPV buys coming from the hardcore fans. But the casual fan who only buy PPV when their "boxer" is fighting, I think Cotto will bring more of those. Cotto has a bigger fanbase than Mosley.

Maybe we can break it down by numbers. And this is total guesswork.

        450k total buys

150k buys from ricans and Cotto followers.
        100k buys from Mosley fans.
200k hardcore fans which will buy the PPV to see a great fight. (Mosley will be responsible for more of this fans than Cotto will.)

I would say that they will be equally responsible for selling the fight.

          Yeah, that sounds realistic.

The flaw in this math is that Cotto should have done 200+150 = 350K buys for the Judah fight. He didn't. He did 180K.

            Explain that.

The other flaw is that you are treating "Ricans" and "hardcore fans" as if they are mutually exclusive. They are not. Those groups overlap. There is a heavy PR presence at every big fight. Boricuas are terrific boxing fans. So, you are counting some people twice.

                  Cotto-Judah did not do 250K.
Are you using the "Arum number"?
