I do, and that's why I don't watch him. Marketing is essentially coming up with a product that the people want(not creating a product and then trying to promote it to the crowd who does not care). And a light hitting, trash talking, arrogant prick who fails to deliver what he promises is a BAD marketing. Because, well, I could not care less.

You almost went there by saying "light hitting" but I'm talking more about forum trolls that say things like "OMG he runs, hasn't fought anyone, can't fight, barely wins, has pitter pat punches" and just generally disrespects his skills is just ******. No matter what you think of his personality, he is a great boxer. You can't accomplish what he has done without being a great boxer.

I do not deny his boxing skill, but to me he ain't no destroyer, he is just a great defensive fighter with too much hype around him.

To me, he just does not deliver, if you are calling yourself the greatest, win like Sugar Ray Robinson. If you are saying you are gonna knock him out, knock him out.

And I will not pay my hard earned 50 bucks to see him throw something like 10 punches a round, run around the ring and make a cute smile.

Maybe u misunderstood my point.

Floyds 'marketing' is to cause people to talk about him. Either loving him or hating him.
Im saying it works. People are constantly talking about him. So how can anyone say "dont hate on him, he's really a nice guy'?

If he wants us to believe he is a prick, well, thats exactly what people are doing.

It generates massive amounts of publicity for him and his fights. so whats the problem with hating him? He profits from it.

IMO Roy Jones never fought as many 'name' fighters as Floyd has, yet in terms of popularity i think he was more well known than Floyd.

And it was because of his entertaining style. Somthing Floyd lacks.
