why does Ricky have all this unexplained hostility toward Witter?

its kinda weird. Ricky's accomplished more in his career at a younger age (28 vs 33) .. why would he care what Witter does?

thats strange that he stuttered. he usually seems pretty camera/media friendly.

*I do recall reading an interview about Billy Graham & Hatton discussing Witter. and it doesn't add up

Hatton fans + Hattons trainer seem to completly write him off.

For years Witter has talked Hatton down at almost every opportunity, then gave uninspired performances, which made him look foolish.

Last night's result will make people take note of Witter as a fighter no longer living in Ricky's shadow, but one who can steal the headlines based on his own achievements. It's open for him now, the vastly overrated Malignaggi should be his first step into the big time.

Fantastic win by Junior Witter. He was in control of the fight though he seemed to let Harris back in it after the knockdown(s) in the 4th.

Junior looked to have power by the bucketloads and his chin stood up well to some heavy shots.

"I slip, I hit and I hurt" great quote from Junior and spot on.

Harris was his No.1 mandatory so a Unification could be done next.

Superb left hook to finish the fight.

          Full fight HERE

I reckon that Harris got smoked because he dont make the weight quite so easy now.

Didnt emanuel steward refuse to train him unless he moved up to 147 ?

Tremendous left hook. I don't know what to think of Witter. I remember watching him against Kotelnik when he was lucky to win and then to watch him last night it was so much better. He isn't really my cup of tea as a person but he is definatly the best at 140 now Hatton has moved up and could go on to dominate IMO.

I was at the scrap last night. Witter was good, but he was fighting a shot man. He was too quick for harris, and Harris stood too square, was too slow and took too many big shots for me.

Having said that, Hatton would murder Witter...believe it...
