Witter clearly thinks the world of himself but if he wants the credit he thinks he deserves he should stick to building his reputations in the ring because that is the only way for fighters to carve a good reputation for themselves.

In all fairness, Junior has had a good career...but he's getting long in the tooth.

He has one loss (I think) and the reality is that Hatton would have losses if he had faced the likes of Zab Judah early in his career. (What's Cotto's best win?)

Witter is just trying to get himself into big fights before he starts to fade. If Viv is focused and sticks to his plan, he should beat JW.

I respect his level of comp.
i also respect his level of comp. Judah, Malignaggi and Harris are all very good fighters and if witter beats harris and goes on to fight paulie his resume imo will be better than hattons

It's good that he's fighting Harris soon too - Harris likes to call everyone out too - then get KO'd by Maussa...lol

Witter has called Hatton out for several years but for one reason or another the fight never materialized. A few years ago I was tipping Witter to be the man to end Hatton's unbeaten run but these days I feel he would be overwhelmed.

I hope he beats Harris tonight.

Does anyone know how us East Coast Americans can see the Witter/harris fight?

I still get Judah/Cotto/Mosley on FNF.

What reason does anybody have to think Judah could have ever beatn Hatton?

Hatton has always stepped it up in big fights, Judah is a choker. Judah gets weaker as fights go along, Hatton gets stronger. Hatton is a great body puncher, Judah doesn't like to get hit. Hatton has the footspeed to neutralize Judah. Hatton has done better against common opponents, has beaten HOFers, Judah seems to lose to anyone who is anywhere near his talent level, Hatton always finds a way to win . . . . Judah is weak-chinned and lacks heart.

                    Shall I continue?

Yes!!.. Please continue. Because you clearly haven't made the point you intended.

                      1) You Hatton groupies MUST stop buying into the myth of Ricky's footspeed. This 'Ricky is so fast' worship will be exposed in , um, 3 months. And 1 day. We will see exactly how fast Ricky is.

                      2) Hatton struggled mightily and was hurt by another southpaw who has aproximately 1/16 of the punching power as Judah.

                      3) Judah faced a PRIME Tszyu. Hatton faced a 36 yr old Tszyu at 2am in his own building. That is NOT a "common opponent".

                      4) saying that "hatton has beaten HoFers" is like saying that Oscar beat HoFers. Yeah. hatton beat "a nanme". But WHEN did he do it? Oscar beat Whitaker, Camacho and Chavez. but WHEN did he do it? I can go kick Muhammad Ali's ass right now. So what?

                      5) You say that Hatton "gets stronger" as the fight goes along. Yet. I saw him finish the Collazo fight on fumes - almost getting KO'd, and the second half of the Urango fight was nearly unwatchable. PLEASE EXPLAIN. In fact, I think I know where to find a round on video from the Urango fight.

                      6) Ricky was being out-sped by a mid-pack Welterweight.

                      7) Hatton "always finds a way to win". We'll re-visit this topic on Dec 9th.

                      8) Judah has fought great bodypunchers: Micky Ward, Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto. IMO, Cotto is a FAR stronger puncher than Hatton.

                      Shall I continue?
