The WBO belt is outside the picture as far as I'm concerned. It's changed hands four times in two years, and no one on their list is really at the top of the division.

Chagaev-Klitschko will probably BE A RING CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT as it meets their criteria
I see your point here but, something can be said about "having a bird in hand" rather than risk not fighting a titlist at all. From a risk management perspective, I think that pulling out from the Ibragimov fight( due to suspect reasons) and then banking on a Klitschko fight in the near future in a risky bet that may not be realized...

If the pullout was a fraud, it could only be b/c they had an agreement with Finkel and Klit.

Or it could be that King and Holy put up just enough cash, who the **** knows when that guy's involved.

This better not be another way for Don King to get back in the picture. We all know he'll **** everything up

I really hope Wlad unifys. But all the titles are held by one champ. Tyson was the only fighter to ever win each belt one at a time. And with the IBF's constant ****** mandatorys, how is Wlad gonna do it?

By the time this tourney is completed, Wlad should fight at least once. If that fight is unification fight, he will be recognized as unified champ and can drop IBF, if they will be ****** enough to try to make him fight Brock or Byrd. I think Brock will win that tourney, btw.

The IBF is being surprisingly accomadating righht now. They counted his last two fights as mandatories and are having a four-fighter tournament for the next. Technically Wlad could unify two other titles in his next two fights before fighting an IBF mandatory. By that time he'd probably have to forfeit the first other title (WBA) he gained.

But honestly there's never a way of telling what these ****ers are gonna pull off on us.

It sounds to me like Holyfield is being over looked in this mess.
I don't consider the WBO to be very credible, the
Sultan fight will get Holy in the mix.
IMO the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles = Undisputed Champion.

I think any unification should be with WBC title. It's the most credible title but has lost it's respect in the division since Vitali left, I think Wladimir should forget IBF and all their mandatory fight stuff and go after the WBC but his brother is there and of course he doesn't want to fight him so here's another dilemna.

Undisputed champion= (WBA, WBO, IBF, or WBC) + (WBA, WBO, IBF, or WBC) + "The Ring" title...

Basically two of the four outstanding titles and the Ring belt for me...

I bet it will be just like what happened to Lennox. Wlad will unify the belts and be striped of 1 or 2 of them within the same month.
