Oscar had that x factor, something you can't describe. He was and still is beloved by everybody who watches the sport, and some who don't know anything about it. He' a once in a lifetime kinda guy in that regard.

Because He Speaks In A Manner that is non-aggressive and polite... He has "good-looks" for a fighter and He Has a Hollywood like appeal... not to mention he's a great fighter.... I respect ODLH, but he's always came off a a lil **** to me, but I guess the public digs it

he doesnt have the gold medal or the story behind it that Oscar had which was huge for Oscar's career. Oscar was making more than most pros in his first professional fight.

you have to of watched his career from the start, the reason he was and is the golden boy. he was fast and had a lot of power, most of his biggest fights were losess, but they were all close except the hopkins fight. and as everyone knows of the robery of the trinidad fight. the simple reason he is very humble after he fights and gives credit to the other fighter, a real gentelman boxer. i like de la hoya and i hope he has some good fights before he retires.
