he fights in NY because its the biggest place on the east coast to fight. East Coast = Puerto Ricans which = Cotto fans. West Coast= Mexicans. Cotto fights on the east coast because his huge fan base is there. Plus the Puerto Rican Parade whch genereates millions of Puerto Ricans, is in NY on the eve of the night Cotto usually fights in NY.

The MAIN reason he fights in NY is the puerto rican/cotto fans. The MAIN reason he doesn't fight in Vegas is because of the size of the gloves, or are you more informed about the situation than Bob Arum?

P.S. If Mayweather and Cotto do fight I would be elated to bet all the points I have on Mayweather if you want to match it with your points on Cotto, that should be great.

Nah i dont care what old man Arum says, never believe a word that comes out of a promoters mouth. But yea im sre thats a minor reason, but liek you said the MAIN reason is the fans. Yea i think Oscar is saying deffinatly not Cotto now, because thats who he actually plans on fighting. It will help hype the fight..."im going against my wife, she told me not to do it" blah blah blah. I really think Oscar is trying to do that. Torres was already in shape when he got the notice to fight Cotto. He just found out in 2 weeks notice. It was right after his fight with Zazule, which he won easily and barely broke a sweat. He was already in shape, which is why he took the fight. Cotto didnt know he was fighting Torres either. He found out right when Torres did. Both were in shape and thought they were fighting each other later that December but decided to just do it then becasue they were both ready after Branco pulled out. As far as the 2 weeks thing, Cotto was at just as big a disadvantage.

And Cotto would just outbox the **** out of Torres. Torres has nothing on Cotto. Plus dont forget that was the weigh drained 140 pound version of Cotto, no the refreshed welterweight. Cotto would destroy Torres if they ever met again. Im lke 99.9% sure.

Torres would get his as$ kicked by Cotto on any occasion. He got lucky caue Cotto underesItmated him in their fight. That would never happen again. He has his big chance but couldnt pull it off. He almost did, but didnt. He was in the ring against a Cotto who was weight drained, underestimated him, and took the fight on short notice. And he stll didnt pull it off.

Torres wont have that title for much longer either. Hate to break it too you bt Torres aint that good. Hes alright, bt will lose the title sooner rather than later. Holt will probably beat him in a rematch, which i think Torres will avoid.

O yea and Torres slacks on training all the time. Hes known for disapearing during training for a few days and turning his phone off so nobody can get a hold of him, and then showing up days later liek nothing happened. He always slacks on training, he did the same before the Holt fight.
