it was close and oscar probably needed a fight before to be 100%. did floyld retire to avoid having a huge rematch? did he not go toe to toe because he would reduce his chances of winning?
Did floyld retire to avoid a rematch with oscar?

Hell no he didnt retire to avoid a rematch. He wanted a rematch but Oscar declined it. Stick with the facts homie -
As soon as the fight was over, Floyd was practically begging for a rematch. Often and frequently.
Are you even serious, dude?Comment

I vote no, because Floyd would never have fought toe-to-toe in the rematch, despite briefly mentioning that he would. Floyd would have taken the rematch and done exactly what he did in the first fight, but better probabaly.
I believe he withdrew himself from the sport, was mulling over his options, and then Hatton pissed him off.
I'm a DLH fan btw and wish he'd beaten floyd

****, you people make some of the ****tiest threads I've ever seen on any website! How was he ducking a rematch when the very next week they were on HBO together with Floyd saying he'd come back for a rematch and Oscar saying "I'll think about it, I have to be really smart about this".. Please, all Floyd wanted was a rematch, Oscar didn't.Comment

No lol!! Remember it was Floyd who was asking Oscar for a 2nd fight because of the money he can make. In fact it was Oscar who avoided a 2nd fight with PBF. Keep in mind! Oscar is a FAT PIGGY BANK!! Why would anyone avoid fighting him?? ****! Even if it was Mike Tyson in his prime and I was a featherweight i wouldn't avoid fighting him MONEY MONEY MONEY Am I being sarcastic????Comment

Floyd's position after the fight was, I'm retired, but I would come out of retirement to fight Oscar in a rematch. Then Trinidad's name came up. Then Hatton, and now Mosley after Hatton. 100% no... I'm ashamed that the poll doesn't reflect 100%.Comment
