In Morales vs Pacquaio 3, morales actually outboxed manny for portions of the fight, his downfall was that he didnt have the legs to avoid a rentless pacman and that left hand he reapeatedly throws.

Ive noticed a few people picking Barrera to win, which i can see if he manages to get out of close quarters with manny, if i was barrera i would circle away from manny's left and pump the jab, manny likes to jump in and fire combos, a solid jab should make him think twice about coming in.

Most important of Barrera's chances is that he Cannot be drawn into war with Pacman, when Barrera gets hit, his first instinct is to hit back, if he does that with pacquiao, i reckon he could see a repeat of the first fight, if Barrera gets hit, he has to get over it and move on, without getting into a brawl.

For Pacquiao he has quite a few options, his boxing skills have improved, he can't outbox barrera, but he can mix it up, boxing in parts and jumping in on Barrera and drawing him into a fight, or he can just walk barrera down and try and punish him, in my opinion the fight depends on him and how he decides to approach the fight, know Pacman he will probably play to his strengths and jump in with power shots trying to hurt barrera rather than wins rounds against him.

So that's my take on it, i favor manny in this one, simply because i dont think barrera can outbox him and survive the full 12 without getting hurt, when he gets hurt i think he will revert to the old barrera who solves his defensive problems simply by hitting back.
      BARRERA IS COMING TO FIGHT

The only problem I see is MAB's stamina. He was able to take alot of punishment on their first fight. I hope this training camp he's going through is as heavy as they say it is!

no prob, i see this as a forrest-quartey type of robbery, in the sense that its amazing judges cant even see when punches arent landing....

What gives Barrera the opportunity to pull off the upset is that he's had a lot of time in between to recover. He didn't make the mistakes that Morales and Shane Mosley have done, which was go straight to a rematch. This is why I give Marquez an edge over Pacquiao in a rematch, time to recover.

However, Barrera took a great deal of punishment in his last fight, a loss to Marquez. Tough to really gain any confidence there.

Consensus thought is that, just as is Morales, so to is Barrera finished. Barrera can outbox a guy like Naseem Hamed or Juarez, fighters who don't really put pressure on you. Pacquiao is no Juarez. He comes down the middle hard and fast, and it's very difficult to imagine Barrera having any conceivable chance here.

Barrera's best chance to outbox Pacquiao is with his jab, but Barrera pushes his jab from the chest. Pacquiao will have no trouble picking it off, just as he did in the first fight and countering. A higher jab, like Morales and Marquez have, is much more effective against a southpaw like Pacquiao.

Barrera's defense and technique is almost null by the 7-8 rounds. Pacquiao is too fast in close and Barrera's defense is nonexistant in close.

As they say in boxing, he can run but he can't hide. Pac will beat him worse at 130 than at 126.
