Barrera Training For Pacquiao With Vengeance In His Heart

GUADALAJARA, MEXICO (September 4, 2007) -- Three-division world champion and future Hall of Fame shoo-in, MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA, has declared war on his opponent and nemesis, pound for pound superstar Manny Pacquiao. Barrera, who began his fifth week of secluded high altitude training in Mexico, is preparing to battle and dethrone the reigning "Fighter of the Year" in a 12-round super featherweight boxing rumble which will take place in 32 days.

"I am not just fighting for personal revenge, I'm fighting for my country and my fellow Mexican fighters who have fallen victim to Pacquiao," stated a determined Barrera after today's workout. "I am training harder than I ever have. I want to beat Manny so badly I can taste it. This goes beyond being personal. For me, this fight is about restoring national pride!"

I can't wait for this fight. Pacquiao has improved and Barrera looked good against Marquez and is now training his ass off.

I originally thorght pac would destroy marco and it wouldbe a mismatch, but the more i look at it and here about mannys actions and how mard marco is training i believe he's actually going to beat manny similar to the way he beat juarez in there rematch. I know it sounds cliche but i think barrera has the eye of the tiger for this fight.

I agree. Pacquiao doesn't seem to be serious in his training for the rematch. He is even playing basketball in the middle of his training! I guess this would just add excitement to this rematch.

Should be very fun while it lasts...but Pac retires Barrera (TKO 6) just like he basically retired Morales.
