    My Tribute to Bernard Hopkins.

Today i got up and was thinking about boxers who have heart. I found nothing more satisfying, than writing about Bernard Hopkins.

Heres the last paragraph of my blog post. Please tell me what you think.

Hopkins, recovered his life and put himself on the right track. Taking up religion, and living a clean and healthy life and in time becoming a boxing great. The term "rolemodel" is blatantly over used, but in the case of Bernard Hopkins it is an understatement. As you read this now, there will be prisioners in cells thinking, if Bernard Hopkins could do it, i can do it. And a few of those prisoners will possibly go on to live crime free lives, thanks to Bernard. There will also be those kids living in poverty, in the poor suburbs of "Philly" (Philadelphia), who see reason to believe in the story of Bernard. Bernard Hopkins is truly a great individual, who has had a profound impact on the boxing community and more specifically has given people suffering from hardships, hope to get their life back on track.

I just wanted to post about the difference this guy has had on the world. Countless prisoners and troubled kids, would have lived normal lives because of his story.

Nicely done. For me personally, I really admire Bernard Hopkins and seem to share your thoughts about his character. I feel very strongly that the life of Bernard Hopkins would make for a sensational movie. Perhaps even something that could be as uplifting and timeless as the first Rocky film, or other flicks of that caliber.

I looked up to Hopkins a lot as a child. I was born in '85 and never got to see him fight until '94 at the Spectrum in Philly, ever since then I've just admired the dude. He came from my area, had a ****ty life, made some ****** choices and landed in jail. He redeemed himself by becoming a legend in the sport I most admire, I'll always love Hopkins. And I'll never forget when I travelled to D.C. with my older brother in '94 to watch Hopkins fight Jones.

Well i wanted to right about someone with a big heart. And what Hopkins has gone through and still managed to achieve very little can match it. And still fighting at 42 and a world champion. Outstanding.

I would love to see a movie made about him. With a long time spent about his chilhood. He could only have turned out bad with his up bringing, yet hes one of the greatest sportsman on the planet.
