power will belong to de la hoya easily.

hatton is also a better body puncher than de la hoya.

de la hoya didnt put too much into going to the body with mayweather but hatton will...and if cotto beats mosley and fights mayweather next he will do that as well.

when a fighter is quick and fast you go to the body to slow him down and if hatton (and his trainers are smart) they will figure that out and go in with that game plan.

as i said in another thread...

look for hatton to feint a lead right hand (to catch mayweather off guard since he keeps his hand low) and then look for hatton to **** a huge left hooks to the body.

he will do this to slow down mayweather and get him very cautious about leaving it open to punishment...thats when hatton can focus on mayweather's chin.

hatton (in my opinion) will use his youth to his advantage and keep the pressure on mayweather for the whole 12 rounds...always coming forwards stalking him...going to the body (to slow down mayweather) and then (in the late rounds) will work on his chin. thats how i see hatton fighting.
waawoo, look how it sound very easy in your mouth, were talking about pbf, remember? i think is shame that you brits always like to hype someone into what they are not, for example david bercamp, he is the richest player but not the best player he's not even in top ten

I don't think so. I believe that Oscar's plan was to box smart, defend better, use his size advantage, "set traps" and to rough Floyd up AT TIMES.

In fact, if you look at the sparring and training that he did, it was not indicative (or predictive) of a smothering gameplan.

Oscar worked alot on speed for the fight. He brought in the fastest fighter he could find. And he said that he expected to match Floyd for speed (Remember that? LOL).

              That was funny.

Listen if any of you guys think that floyd is not an infighter then you're dead wrong. He is excellent at the infighting game.

Hatton has a chance yes but it lies in his hands he has to take risks and let his hands go.

Well said!! I agree. I hate when people say DLH is not in his prime! Thats not true. DLH is still in his prime only problem is he fights rarely and doesn't stick to his game plan. What damages him the most is fighting rarely thats a huge affect to any boxer

                  ..................

Hatton brings nothing revolutionary.... or anything better than oscar.... oscar does something clever and snaeky he lets u hit him to counter u with the left....but how he does it is he parrys ur punches.... u throw he'll get hit time u parry one left hook fights over.... mayweather picked this up in there fight and thats why he's the smartest boxer in boxing.... he noticed it and started throwing less ...less u throw less u get countered... plus oscar was the bigger guy and who knows if he landed that left what could happen... hatton is a diffrent story mayweather will open up on hatton.... if hatton is bigger than floyd its only slighter...and mayweather will dictate the pace in this fight and embarrass hatton....easy decision if mayweather sticks and moves.. if it goes that far .... or knockout if mayweather trades with hatton....

100% right dino...although, here is what hatton has over DLH:

                    More heart
                    More Stamina
                    faster feet
                    better body pucher

                    what he does not have:

                    horrendous reach/height disadvatange
                    less speed/comfort @ 147

Power is a non issue...mayweather will fear getting hit from either of them so its not like the fight will be a KO from Hatton anyway.

Hatton is not a pressure fighter...he is a 2 hit and hold fighter... stamina will dimish as mayweather lands crisp sharp punches.... heart....now hatton is a better fighter than gatti...but didnt gatti have alot of heart....and undefeated against who ...he only has 2 wins that mean anything while having 40 some odd fights to his record.....
