    4. ODLH who was 20 pounds heavier then PBF FIGHT NIGHT couldn't even hurt PBF. What makes you people think Hatton 140-147 will be able to??

I seriously don't know why many people are making a big deal out of Hatton Once this dude gets F'd up he better go back to 140 and fight in England. These words came from Paulie Malignaggi. MARK MY WORDS When PBF beats Hatton! He still won't get any credit!!!
    This is where we disagree.

Especially going so far as to say "NO WAY IN HELL."

I'll say it again; Hatton does not have to hurt or slow down Mayweather to get a descision. He just has to smother him.

Tell me - who is the better infighter? Hatton or Mayweather?

Because I can assure you - for 36 minutes Hatton is going to be trying to do one thing over and over..

Put this fight in a phonebooth.

Im a big Floyd fan but people who say that Floyd is the bigger guy is crazy. Floyd has not grown into 147 at all and probally never will. Sure he can fight there and he will probally be better at 147 now then when he 1st started but that still doesnt make you a real WW. Hatton is still by far the bigger man. Floyd just puts on that fake weight because he's a great fighter and can do what others cant but he doesnt really belong there. If the weight is a factor then its to Hattons advantage. If people think its the other way around then there crazy and Hatton's camp knows it. There's a reason why they have always said that Floyd is the only guy that they will move up for. Its not because there so brave, its because they dont think Floyd is a real WW and all the other guys are. They have the public fooled in believeing that they are these small guys moving up but they are by far bigger then Floyd and they know it.

I do disagree with the original poster who said that Collazo wasnt slick against Hatton. I also have the fight on tape and yes Collazo did fight with Hatton but that still doesnt mean that your not slick. You can brawl or fight with a guy and still be slick. Collazo brawling didnt give Hatton problems. What gave him problems is that he could brawl while being slick with it. Its just like James Toney. He fights alot but he's still slick with it.

Im still 50/50 on this fight. Not on wether Floyd will lose or not because I dont think that will happened but Im 50/50 on wether it will be close or not. Half of me thinks that Hatton's style will give Floyd hell but Floyd will still win a clear close decision, then the other half of me thinks that Floyd will just wipe the floor with him. What upsets me is that people are looking at 147 like its a huge advantage for Floyd so if he wins its like there already taking all the credit for him when its not the case at all. Just go back and rewatch Floyd vs N'Dou. That was only like 6 fights ago and Floyd was super small. He hasnt grown much at all, he has just moved up with artifecial weight to chase Oscar and all the big fights at 147. Even though he killed N'Dou, Phillip still had his moments where his size was a clear factor and that was at 135 against a skinny guy. No way you could watch that fight and think that Floyd was bigger then Hatton. He hasnt really grown that much, he is a naturally small man

Good point. I'd be far more concerned about the conditioning of Hatton than I would Mayweather.

That's another facet in Mayweather's favor..

        I do conceed.

If nothing else Hatton will force Mayweather to fight, you're right.

Boxing will be on the big stage again with this one to some degree.

I hope the action is aesthetically pleasing..

            Very interesting stuff.

Although in the middle section I think you're slicing onions a bit..

Collazo's most effective punch in the fight was his right hook - and he landed it most often in the tight exchanges with punches flying everywhere. He's an accurate puncher, and a slick southpaw.. OK, but the term slick southpaw gets overused badly, generally speaking.. And it wasn't slickness persay that helped Collazo in that fight - it was his willingness to stand and trade with Hatton and use his natural strength as a bigger man.

Inside fighting and body punching is not Oscar's game. Hatton is a much better short distance puncher than Oscar is. It's a completely different fight.

But it's not like this weight advantage is going to be as significant as it is in most fights.
Thats a totaly assnine statement being as Hatton only Had one fight at 147. How the hell can u gauge his power? Thats like saying he aint got power at 140 cause he didnt drop urango.

Your analasys of this fight is flawed from the get go!

I'll even drop some points on it..

I will admit though that I was waiting for someone to give me odds.

And I'm about 70% sure I might not have the stones to put cash on it.

But that could change.. If the numbers are good it will be hard to resist.

So are we going to bet or what? 3K each on Mayweather for me, Hatton for you. Yes or no, stop avoiding it.

I am not 100% sure that Hatton won't be powerful at 147, but I am saying that it is very rare that a fighter remains as powerful when they jump up in weight.

Finally, the most impressive part of Mayweather's career in my eyes, is the fact that I have never seen him tired in any fight. Ever, period. That is why he almost never gives the late rounds away, because he is always fresher. Probably because he spars 15 minute rounds to get his stamina up. Incredible.
